[00:00:00]Jordan: I just feel like him and Giannis get away with **** just because they have accents and they're associated with European countries.
[00:00:05]Darius: Oh, you know I want all the foreigners out of the NBA. If not out, they should have to waive their rights to play against us in the Olympics. You're not going to come here, get hundreds of million dollars. Yeah, and then play against us in the Olympics. What the **** is that? You can go back to France. Like I promised the NBA will survive without Wendy. You can go play for whatever bucket of **** that country can afford to pay you. And then you can play us in the Olympics. Welcome to Trump with Jordan and Darius. My name is Darius. That's these. I love your area on all socials. And I'm Jordan.
[00:00:38]Jordan: That's Jordan to be writing on all socials.
[00:00:40]Darius: This is our second. We like to call what's on our mind. Let you guys know what we've been thinking about, what we saw on the Internet. I don't know if you're aware, but Jay-Z has announced 2, I believe, 2 concerts at Yankee Stadium. And It's just perplexing to me because I think the shows were announced what Tuesday or today's Tuesday. So it would have been.
[00:01:01]Jordan: Or Monday, I think.
[00:01:02]Darius: For the sake of the conversation, we'll just say the shows are announced Monday. And Sunday, you could, it's like the same people I saw Sunday talking about the cost of living and how this is that and how gas is this. We're buying $600 concert tickets Monday. So I just, What's going on? I can't keep up. How is everybody broke? But 500,000 people are in queue to buy concert tickets that cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
[00:01:28]Jordan: Half of rent.
[00:01:31]Darius: Which one is it? Because people keep saying these concerts are too expensive, but they sell out.
[00:01:38]Jordan: That's true. Yeah, 600. I mean, it is Jay and Yankee stated that it's pretty legendary, but yeah, that's some nut ****. So, okay, so let me ask you, are these specific people that you've seen literally like that in your life being like, oh, I'm broke down and then they got tickets or is this like internet people?
[00:01:53]Darius: Yes, internet people. I'm just, I'm just ********.
[00:01:55]Jordan: Cause they probably didn't even buy the tickets.
[00:01:58]Darius: No, true. But like people are like, yeah, these are people who don't even live in New York City.
[00:02:03]Jordan: So we're talking about flying in, hotels, Ubers, food.
[00:02:09]Darius: I mean, if the ticket's $700. And you got to get a hotel in New York City.
[00:02:16]Jordan: That's probably $700 a night.
[00:02:20]Darius: What, $2,000 all in expenses to go see a concert. And yeah, you'd be hard pressed to find a bigger whole fan than me. I'm not spending too. I mean, if he came to Raleigh, I would spend a lot on a ticket that I could just. I would not.
[00:02:34]Jordan: Feels like Raleigh or Charlotte.
[00:02:35]Darius: Yeah. That flight in New York City and spending $2,000 to see a rap concert is not going to be able to do it.
[00:02:43]Jordan: Yeah, that's a lot of money. In very short notes. Wait, when is the show? It's in July.
[00:02:48]Darius: So it's in July.
[00:02:50]Jordan: Okay.
[00:02:50]Darius: It was announced like the weekend and it dropped two days later. I just you read about like the state of this and the state of this economy. You see everybody complaining and then all of a sudden, I mean, Yankee Stadium isn't that big. It's what, 70,000 seats or something like that. And sold out in seconds and a bunch of people flying in. And I just don't know which one is which way is up at this point. So speaking of legends, you want to ask a question, wouldn't should greats walk away?
[00:03:26]Jordan: Yeah, actually, I thought of the question because of I saw the interview today. Well, I didn't watch the movie. I saw clips of it. And, you know, it got me then I saw I was thinking about like the fall off and it feels like a lot of our legends, people we grew up with are in the toilet of their career. So it got me wondering, when should grades like walk away? Are you a proponent of them walking away when they want to, like in terms of like, so the wheels fall off, drag them off the field type ****? Or are you someone who would rather see them at or close to their peak?
[00:03:56]Darius: Well, I mean, it depends. It's, you know, case by case situation. And it depends on if they age gracefully. I think Early season LeBron Lakers. I was like, it's it was a little scary.
[00:04:11]Jordan: It was looking a little scary.
[00:04:12]Darius: He was looking like the old man in the club. He was complaining, but now late season, he settled into third option cutter. He seems genuinely being enjoyed being on the team. And if that's it, if he wants to do that, he can do that forever. I don't care. It's just that, you know, if you're going to be. As long as he's accepted that it's never going to be 2014 again, then **** it, play till your play till your knees explode. No, we're not with you, but you know what I mean.
[00:04:36]Jordan: We did not.
[00:04:38]Darius: But you know, it also just like, it's different when it's like Hove doing one-off shows in Yankee Stadium and like, I don't know, some washed up rapper doing chitlet circuit concerts for a buck.
[00:04:53]Jordan: Yeah, okay, so that's what I was going to say too, because it depends on the level of the Right, because okay, so we have, okay, we have LeBron who's still playing well and still contributing and still playing at a high level. We have Jay who I'm sure can still rap at a high level, right? Cole still can really rap his *** off. I wasn't a fan of the album, but he can still rap his *** off. Then we have like Wayne who is waning or has waned before our eyes. You know, you got like Tiger who's just kind of doing it for the love of the game now. Like that's cool because all the injuries, like we accept that, you know what I mean? He got his masters.
[00:05:22]Darius: Well, just real quick, some people aren't confused. Tiger, the golf, 'cause we were just talking about Wayne, not Tiger, young money, right?
[00:05:28]Jordan: Yeah, Tiger Woods, the only tiger that matters, 'cause it confused me for a second.
[00:05:32]Darius: I was like, Tiger, when was he?
[00:05:34]Jordan: No, Tiger Woods, Tiger Woods, Eldrick.
[00:05:38]Darius: You were talking about young money, so it blurred a little bit.
[00:05:40]Jordan: Sorry. Got you. I didn't think about that. Freudian slip. You know, we have that. And then we have, you know, like Denzel still doing great ****. And so it really, really kind of does depend as well. That's a good point, because like Iverson, he couldn't accept that he was no longer that guy. And that's why he rated early.
[00:05:59]Darius: Well, so like when it comes to actors, It depends. If Denzel was still cranking out equalizers, I'd be like, all right, Papa. But he's accepted that he's doing old man roles now. And like, that's fine. Like, you know, De Niro transitioned to his old man role. He's not, well, that one movie where they de-aged him on Netflix.
[00:06:18]Jordan: Oh, The Irishman.
[00:06:19]Darius: Yeah, we're not, don't do that no more.
[00:06:22]Jordan: We're gonna act like that didn't happen. We're gonna act like that didn't happen. It's not part of his filmography.
[00:06:29]Darius: No, it just depends. It depends on if they embrace Being the old man, it's only bad if they still try to be young. Right. And like weighing that album.
[00:06:41]Jordan: Like Usher's music?
[00:06:42]Darius: Yes. And like weighing that album, bro. You're not being serious. Like.
[00:06:50]Jordan: Yeah, you're not being serious. Like, not even a little bit. I still can't believe someone in the circle wasn't like, hey, man, maybe like throw this, throw this file in the trash folder.
[00:06:58]Darius: There isn't. A redeemable 10 seconds on that album. Like it's complete trash from press play to the end.
[00:07:06]Jordan: That song where he sampled Weezer, dog, that **** was. He should have a Grammy taken away for that.
[00:07:13]Darius: Peanuts to an elephant.
[00:07:15]Jordan: Yeah, with the ******* raw sound.
[00:07:18]Darius: It just, I just, honestly, I thought it was fake. I was like, I must have hit the wrong button. It's just like somebody uploaded something to YouTube that was like, and they put it in the code for Wayne or something.
[00:07:27]Jordan: But yeah, that was nuts.
[00:07:30]Darius: No, I mean, it just depends. It depends on if they embrace it, Jay-Z is not hopping on little baby songs, Right. he's not trying to stay young and cool. You know, work versus like future. Yeah. It's like, bro, you 45. Two Chainz.
[00:07:51]Jordan: You forget he's that old. Yeah.
[00:07:53]Darius: Two Chainz, bro. Give us some dad bars. It's okay. Look, is it going to ring off with the youngins? No, but like trying to be 45, still doing the same music. It's just, it gives the old man in the club, as the kids say. I feel it.
[00:08:07]Jordan: Yeah, like the clips, I feel like are aging very gracefully.
[00:08:09]Darius: Yeah.
[00:08:11]Jordan: Kanye's been tweaking, but he's like, he still performs at a high level. Apparently his new album is supposed to be good. I don't know. I haven't heard anything from it yet. You know what I'm saying? So there is scales of, you know, aging in a certain industry.
[00:08:24]Darius: It says a lot, though, because I'm just now finding out he dropped a new album, you telling me 5 seconds ago, and that used to be in the video.
[00:08:31]Jordan: It hasn't dropped yet.
[00:08:32]Darius: I don't think I corrected.
[00:08:34]Jordan: But he's doing like the tour thing where he's like, he's like been in China and **** or whatever. You see like the concert footage and it looks ******* incredible.
[00:08:41]Darius: He's still sold out some LA shows, right?
[00:08:44]Jordan: I believe so. Yeah.
[00:08:46]Darius: Still move units. Moving on to our listener prompt of the week. Joint account with your spouse, wife, wife, we'll just say wife. I don't know. I think spouse can mean someone that you live. We'll just say married wife, person, joint accounts, yay or nay?
[00:09:07]Jordan: I say, yeah, I would do. I would still have a separate one for myself. And I think she was just still have a separate one for herself. But we would there would be a joint account. Yeah.
[00:09:18]Darius: I am just if you're married, it's just just I mean, if you need separate accounts for different things just to, you know, hide birthday gifts and things like that, that's fine. But I just don't I just think if you're married, your finances should just be co-mingled. Fair. I feel like if you build in outs, you're building in outs, And obviously it's different. if you're worth hundreds of millions of dollars, you should definitely protect yourself. Yeah, you should keep that separate. That's something totally different. But if you're a regular, you know, if you work down at the Amazon warehouse and she's a nurse, Why can't y'all finance this? What are you protecting? True. You know, it's just, you ever scroll in and you just see like couples like Chipotle, $9. It's like, are y'all, what is this? Not y'all, can we be adults?
[00:10:15]Jordan: That's funny.
[00:10:16]Darius: It's just.
[00:10:16]Jordan: No, I don't. I've never seen that.
[00:10:21]Darius: You'll see **** like beers from last night. And I think Venmo stopped doing the actual dollar amount, but it used to get the dollar amount. You'd see **** like 12 bucks beers. And it's like, who's keeping the calculator all night for this?
[00:10:34]Jordan: Who's remembering that also?
[00:10:36]Darius: What kind of friendships do you have where you're keeping tallies of Coors Lights through the night? It's just weird.
[00:10:41]Jordan: I don't need my friends keeping a scoreboard on me and vice versa.
[00:10:44]Darius: That **** comes, that **** goes around here. You get around there. Don't be the person all night with the ******* notepad keeping tallies like it's we're playing dominoes or some ****. That's ridiculous. I am team. If you are married, that's married. That's not shacking up. That's not we go together like legally married before the eyes of God and the law. Then there should be no secret accounts. There should just be full, maybe, obviously, most people have multiple accounts. you have an account for your bills and then you have your account for this and that. The most I could see is like, if the money's all in one place, it'd be hard to buy a Christmas gift without spoiling it.
[00:11:23]Jordan: Yeah, **** like that.
[00:11:24]Darius: I can see something like that. You have to make some accommodation for that.
[00:11:28]Jordan: Yeah, like a surprise vacation or, you know, whatever. I mean, I guess my thing was always, you'd have this joint account just for like, specifically for bills. And that way you could have both just do that through that. And then, I mean, I have no problem with my wife having access to my, whatever. And then also, I don't know. I just, if you want to do fun **** for yourself also, then you don't have to worry about, oh, the bill money got used for, stuff like that. So that's more so my thought process behind it and what I've seen couples discuss or argue about or, things of that nature.
[00:12:04]Darius: I just think It not only is it building yourself out, it also kind of like gives you an excuse to not have hard conversations.
[00:12:14]Jordan: That's fair.
[00:12:15]Darius: You know, money is one of the, you know, biggest drivers of discontent in a relationship. And it doesn't do any good to just hide it. You have to actually talk about these things and it doesn't do any good to postpone conversations. And and so, you know, I think it's best to just talk these things through. So On the youth new shows.
[00:12:39]Jordan: Yes, I want to see it know if you've been watching or are excited about any new shows coming up this spring or summer. If you have any like yearly shows or anything that you're watching.
[00:12:48]Darius: No, not really. Beyond the NBA playoffs are about to start, so that's going to be the nightly thing. But I have been rewatching 24. Okay, Madam Secretary. And a little Game of Thrones. I kind of, I don't, I like to binge watch anything. So like I'll watch, like right before bed, you get that little hour before when everything's done, but you're not ready for bed. I'll pick one of three or four shows and watch one episode of it. And then the next night I watch a different show. Just because I like to binge watch things and it keeps it fresh, keeps my attention sharp on it. Last night I watched like 3 episodes of Saved by the Bell. Always forever. One of my first crushes. What about you, man? Any new shows?
[00:13:41]Jordan: Yeah, I'm really excited. This is actually like my favorite time of year right now, because three of my favorite shows will be airing all the same time. So Invincible season four just started yesterday. I got a few minutes into it because it was like, I was a late last night and I was like, if I start now, I won't get any sleep tonight because I'll just watch them all. I am a big binge watcher. And then we have tonight at 9:00. Well, first, what is Invincible about? Oh, so it's an animated show. It's based on a graphic novel. So I guess it's considered anime technically. It's a superhero show. It's about this kid whose father is from another planet called the Viltrumites, and they never age. They're basically invincible. They only get stronger as they get older, but they're sent off to other planets to procreate with different species to kind of keep their species going. And also the planet was actually to have their spawn help them take over that given planet. This particular kid is ethical, so there's a big showdown with him and his father over, no, I'm not going to let you destroy planet Earth. But the Viltrumite Empire wants to covet it. And so there's a big confrontation that's coming up soon because his father did flip and then he had to escape. It's a whole other thing. But yeah, so I'm looking forward to it. I just started a few minutes ago or last night for a few minutes. It looks like it's going to be some heat. The first 5 minutes is just like dope *** like a rock score and then just like superhero ****. So I'm really looking forward to this season. I'm very excited. That's my first show.
[00:15:11]Darius: I'm looking forward to what streamer it's on.
[00:15:14]Jordan: Oh yeah, it's on Amazon Prime. Definitely worth watching it. The soundtrack is incredible. It's got Steve Yoon from The Walking Dead. Zazie Beats was in the first couple seasons.
[00:15:25]Darius: I like me some Zazie Beats.
[00:15:27]Jordan: Me too. JK Rowling, JK Rowling, JK Simmons is in the show. He plays the dad. So he's just like the goat of playing psychos. I feel like, Yeah, some super loaded cast. Actually, your guy, Walter Goggins is in it too. I love Walter Goggins. He plays the CIA type dude. Yeah, so it's dope as ****. And then so Daredevil Born Again, season 2 is starting tonight at 9. That shows heat. It's like super gritty St. level, rated R level comic book show. It's got Vincent D'Afrio playing Kingpin, super goated. And then my third show is called The Boys. That's coming out in April. It's based off a graphic novel, but it's basically almost like a, not a spoof, but more of a satire, satirical version of the Avengers. But instead of them having natural superpowers, there's actually a compound that you can take to give yourself powers. So it's basically like a marketing campaign. There's one particular villain who's basically like if Superman was human, but with Trump's ideologies pretty much. So it's like very political, very raw, super hard R. It's not for the faint of heart, not for the squeamish people at all. But you should double check it out. That's also on Amazon Prime as well. So yeah, so I'm learning the **** out this spring.
[00:16:48]Darius: I'll ask you about a I'll frame the question in a way with the TV show that most people have seen. But if you could pick any X-Men superpowers, which one would you pick?
[00:16:58]Jordan: That's tough. Any X-Men superpowers? Okay. That's tough. I love Wolverine. He's in my top five favorite superheroes of all time. But I'm going to go with Iceman. I always thought his powers were super dope. And he could like steam and ****. I just feel like it's almost all-purpose. So I would go with Iceman for my power.
[00:17:21]Darius: Storm for me, man. Manipulating the weather. That's it. That's a goated. That's tough.
[00:17:24]Jordan: Yeah, that's tough.
[00:17:25]Darius: Can we all agree the worst of Cyclops? What a ****** power. He can open his eyes. He got destroyed into that stick, man.
[00:17:32]Jordan: And his big brother is Havoc.
[00:17:36]Darius: Yeah, like, **** this is terrible. Like, really, all these people can do this. He could just do shake shades off. I can't even use my own ******* eyes.
[00:17:46]Jordan: But he got Gingredo.
[00:17:52]Darius: Fair enough.
[00:17:53]Jordan: Win some, you lose some.
[00:17:55]Darius: New controversy. The NBA has, I mean, people, but the people saying it for the people. There's A 65 game minimum games threshold to be eligible for postseason awards. MVP, DPOI, Rookie of the Year, All NBA, All Defense. And so I don't like Kate Cunningham is out with a punctured lung, so he's probably going to miss the threshold because there's ten games left and he's already missed ten. And you can only miss 17 games, I think. So he's going to miss it.
[00:18:28]Jordan: Yeah.
[00:18:29]Darius: And the the union wrote a letter saying that they should reconsider this rule. And before I give my opinion, I would like to hear your thoughts on do you like the rule?
[00:18:37]Jordan: First of all, I understand the spirit of the rule, but like. Like the fact that Wimby lost out on the deploy last year, just because he missed some games and his numbers were still clearly better than the guy who won it, you know what I mean? It's a little lopsided to me. The rule is, I won't say it's growing on me, I've just grown accustomed to it. I wish they would actually change the number though. I'd maybe change the number to maybe like 70 or 72, something like that, just to make it a little more amenable to the players. But I think the problem is it's going to affect a lot of guys' contracts because those incentives are going to it's going to keep guys from going to from maybe the max of the super max, the max to the whatever the tier below that is, so on and so forth. Yeah, I just changed the number honestly. 65, 17 games is, I don't know, it feels a little too extreme.
[00:19:31]Darius: For the record, only one MVP in history played less than 65 games. That was Bill Walton.
[00:19:37]Jordan: Okay.
[00:19:39]Darius: Seventeen games is 1/4 of the season. I've yet to have anyone explain to me why you should be eligible for an award if you miss 1/4 of the season.
[00:19:46]Jordan: That's valid. Make a point. I can't argue with you. But I just we're going to see some whack *** all NBA teams like throughout history.
[00:19:55]Darius: That's fun playing the games. People buy tickets to these games. These games aren't free.
[00:20:00]Jordan: That's true.
[00:20:01]Darius: I don't. But if they're not managing, it doesn't. If you're everyone knows the rules before the season starts, right? And it's just, I don't.
[00:20:10]Jordan: I think this is this the first year or the second year with that rule? Second year. Second year. Okay.
[00:20:13]Darius: And it's just, and I really don't understand why the union cares because 15 players are going to make the all NBA regardless. Like they don't change the numbers. 15. So why do you care who get like, why is the union representative? Do you not represent the guy who would replace Cade? Like I don't. True. What is like I don't get it.
[00:20:34]Jordan: I'm I don't know. I'm guessing just off top of off the cuff right here is I'm going to guess it has to do with the contract situations where again if you guys having their contracts like Klay Thompson had in his country if he I think because he wasn't all 70 top 75 all time he like lost out on like $40 million or something like that. Same thing with John when he got suspended it cost him $40 million like that does affect the league that does affect the players as a whole so I'm gonna guess that's why the The NBPA is speaking out against it.
[00:21:06]Darius: But these rules are established before anyone dribbles a ball the year. So I don't. It isn't. There's no favoritism involved. It's a hard line.
[00:21:14]Jordan: Sure. No, it's a fair. It's a fair rule. Do we know if NBPA was approved? Like if they had a say in.
[00:21:19]Darius: Yeah, it was collectively bargained.
[00:21:21]Jordan: Okay.
[00:21:22]Darius: That's what Vincent Goodwill said on. Okay. That was one of my questions too. And he responded to saying that it was collectively bargained Vincent Goodwill of ESPN. But I just don't.
[00:21:33]Jordan: Yeah.
[00:21:35]Darius: Here's a real reason. Here's what everyone wants to say, but the only real opposition to the rule is basically saying out loud that the regular season doesn't matter. It's just like, why should these guys miss the award for missing these meaningless games? Is what everyone wants to say.
[00:21:53]Jordan: Because deep down, we know who's the best. Right. You know.
[00:21:58]Darius: I'm sorry, but say that if that's what they don't want to say that though, because that would they can't say that they can't say that But the real they'll **** all their TV deals like Cade Cunningham is like he's gonna miss the last two weeks of the season And these games are meaningless for the pistons. They are no one's watching them. They're Yeah, but they can't say out loud. Why should he lose an award for missing these meaningless games? But I'm sorry I am It's the first pro fan thing the NBA has done since I can't even remember And I'm sorry people as long as they're selling selling these tickets then we should be doing everything we can to incentivize the players to show up. And if that means we got to crack some eggs to make an omelet, I'm sorry, Kate Cunningham, you're great. You would have been all NBA second team on my ballot.
[00:22:37]Jordan: Yeah.
[00:22:37]Darius: But the rules are the rules. And we're not going to like, you don't. First it was when Joker twisted his knee and everyone was like, he might not win. He's going to he's going to be eligible now. But yeah, I don't pick and choose favorites, man. It's a hard and fast rule. That's true.
[00:22:52]Jordan: That's fair. It's fair.
[00:22:53]Darius: And just yeah.
[00:22:55]Jordan: But we are going to see some ****. We're going to see some, I think we're going to see some freak *** like MVP awards going like there'll be a year where it'll be like that guy won.
[00:23:02]Darius: I just don't understand how, why was it, why would that be the case now when it was never the case before? Only one player has ever won an MVP without playing 65. True.
[00:23:11]Jordan: That's true. I think it's more so the all NBAs and the actual awards themselves for the most part. Because if you're a super elite player for the most part, their durability is top shelf, but yeah.
[00:23:25]Darius: Play your games, man. It's cliche, but the best availability, the best ability is availability. And I mean, look, it sucks for Kade, but yeah, it does. I'm not losing any sleep over it. To be honest, I think he's going to be just fine.
[00:23:42]Jordan: Yeah, but it's also, I mean, he probably won't even be able to have a top five MBP finish now either, I'm guessing. So.
[00:23:48]Darius: Well, he shouldn't have gotten hurt. Let's tell you, brother, brother.
[00:23:53]Jordan: You dare you puncture your lung?
[00:23:55]Darius: I mean, players, that's that's football, football, basketball. Oh, guys get hurt.
[00:23:59]Jordan: Yeah.
[00:24:00]Darius: And we should reward. We should reward players who show up every day. That's like that's important, too. And let's just keep it real. If if you were saying assuming that these regular season games matter, a guy who is available 100% of the time but is maybe 80% as good as a guy who misses 20% of the games, right? He is more valuable. He provided more value over the course of the regular season because he was available every game. And I mean, obviously, like, you know, Luke Kennard isn't as valuable as Kate Cunningham just because he played every game. But if you're telling me Jalen Brown shows up for 80 games and he's more valuable than Kawhi Leonard, correct? Even though he's not as good as Kawhi Leonard, this is a regular season, most valuable player award and Jalen Brown plays all the games. and he's maybe 90% of Kate Cunningham, but Kate Cunningham misses the last quarter of the season. Then Jalen Brown is the MVP. I mean, I'm sorry. I know it'll look funny in the record books, but he provided more value to his team over those 82 games. Assuming these 82 games matter. And I was told they do. So I don't know.
[00:25:03]Jordan: What is it? I mean, it's between. Go ahead.
[00:25:06]Darius: No, you got.
[00:25:07]Jordan: Plus, it's a three-horse race anyway right now. It's between Shea, Luca, and Wimby. So it's really all a moot point also.
[00:25:15]Darius: Joker's out there too, but yeah, it's a...
[00:25:16]Jordan: Well, yeah, Joker. Joker, too.
[00:25:18]Darius: Honestly, it's one of the best four-man, top four MVPs.
[00:25:22]Jordan: Lucas, Lucas making a run, man.
[00:25:25]Darius: Yeah, he's first team All-NBA.
[00:25:29]Jordan: England scoring.
[00:25:32]Darius: I mean, the Lakers are third seed, so they get a good draw. They could win a playoff series. So you'd be hard pressed to find a better top four MVP finish than SGA Joker, Luca and Wimby.
[00:25:46]Jordan: Correct.
[00:25:48]Darius: And This is not where I talk about we shouldn't allow foreigners in the NBA anyway. How do you play?
[00:25:55]Jordan: I don't like that. I don't like him ******** for the NBP though. I didn't like that.
[00:25:59]Darius: I don't really care. You don't care either. You're pretending.
[00:26:03]Jordan: I don't care. I didn't dislike it. just found me. I just found it a little bit annoying. That's all. I just feel like him and Giannis get away with **** just because they have accents and they're associated with European countries.
[00:26:16]Darius: I want all the foreigners out of the NBA. If not out, they should have to waive their rights to play against us in the Olympics. You're not going to come here, get hundreds of millions of dollars, and then play against us in the Olympics. What the **** is that? You can go back to France. I promise the NBA will survive without Wimby. You can go play for whatever bucket of **** that country can afford to pay you. And then you can play us in the Olympics. If that's what you want to do, fine. But if you're going to come here and play for the Spurs and use the infrastructure that American players built to rake in hundreds of millions of dollars and then play against us in the Olympics, I ******* hate that ****.
[00:27:00]Jordan: How do you feel about players? True, I agree. But how do you feel about guys who want to play for teams, countries they were born in? Like Kyrie, I think at one point wanted to play for Australia for like an Olympics or Melo wanted to play for Puerto Rico. Like how do you feel about that?
[00:27:16]Darius: Does Australia have a professional league? You can go there then. That's fine. Like, you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want to play for your home country, then play for your home country. Go back.
[00:27:30]Jordan: It does feel a bit like playing dress up.
[00:27:32]Darius: Yeah, like, do you live there? Well, Luke and them do, but But no, I hate that ****. They want all of the, like, come over here, they take all the good and then play against us in the Olympics. And then Joker acts like you don't even want to be here.
[00:27:49]Jordan: ************ we'll be fine. That's true.
[00:27:50]Darius: Yeah, no, he really don't. I hate that ****. Like, don't act like you're too big to care. What the underlying thing is he resents the black culture of the NBA. And he's just like, he's just like, oh, I don't like, I'm too good for this. We'll go. I promise you, the lights will turn on tomorrow without Nikola Joker in the NBA. We'll be just fine. I just, I have a- I know, I just wanted to tee you up for that.
[00:28:16]Jordan: I know you need to get that off your chest.
[00:28:17]Darius: Anyways, paper towel theory, man.
[00:28:19]Jordan: What's up? Yeah, so we're talking this weekend about weight loss and discipline and fitness and all that stuff. And it got me thinking about a TikTok I saw a couple weeks ago about like this girl was saying like the more you lose weight the more you realize how much weight you access to have left to lose or that you need to lose from the beginning. Like in my head when I started like my journey I was like oh I probably need to lose like 30, 40 pounds and it's like I need to lose 30 or 40 pounds now. after losing significant weight, And then I saw this comment about.
[00:28:55]Darius: Go ahead. Sorry. Yeah, go ahead.
[00:28:56]Jordan: So I saw this comment about what's called paper towel theory. Let's see if I can pull the quote up because I want to make sure I get it right. Unless I can just hold on one second. so okay, so the paper towel theory basically is an analogy that stating that fat loss becomes more visible, more visually apparent as you get leaner. So basically the leaner you get, the more weight you lose. It's more of, you know, more easy to, it'll make more of a difference. Basically, if you're on a paper towel roll, you take 10 sheets off from the full roll, you can't see anything. If it's a half roll, you take 10 sheets off, you're like, oh **** I need to buy more toilet, more paper towel. So I thought that was kind of interesting and it made me think of something I actually. had to tell myself when I was on my journey, like early on, it was like, you're gonna feel the results before you see them. Like you're gonna feel stronger before you notice your body changing or you're gonna, you know, your wind is gonna get better before you notice, you know, your pants getting looser again and **** like that. Also, people have to account for like body recompositions because your body can still be changing without you losing weight as well.
[00:29:58]Darius: Yeah, it's so true. It's like that meme was like, all I wanted to do is like get my cardio up and now I have body dysmorfare. Oh, dude, I started 270, 275, give or take. And my lowest weight was 225. And right now I'm about 230, 235, depending on, you know, what I weigh in myself every Wednesday. So it fluctuates. And I feel like the winter, like the, like I call it my winter fur, like I'm on a weight cut right n
