00:00:00 Darius: Welcome to Out the Trunk with Jordan and Darius. My name is Darius. That's Deez I Love You Area on all socials.
00:00:06 Jordan: And I'm Jordan. That's Jordan B Riding on all socials.
00:00:09 Darius: And this is our segment where we let you guys know what's on our mind, our musings, things that we saw on the internet. I just wanted to start off by saying he's received, he's certainly, lately he's gotten a bit of like a renaissance. He fell off a mat for a little bit and he's back. And I just wanted to say.
00:00:26 Jordan: I think I know what you're about to say.
00:00:27 Darius: Grooving gorilla, big groove. I hate your guts. I thought you meant Lloyd. No, Lloyd. No, I'm talking about the guy who like gets food.
00:00:41 Jordan: In restaurants and acts like a ******* monkey.
00:00:44 Darius: I hate him.
00:00:45 Jordan: I hate him. I hate him too.
00:00:48 Darius: He went away for a while and it made me happy.
00:00:50 Jordan: Yes.
00:00:51 Darius: And he's been coming back a little bit.
00:00:53 Jordan: And that made me sad.
00:00:55 Darius: You know what he makes me aware of? Yeah. I just don't love money enough because there's no way.
00:01:01 Jordan: No, yeah, no, there's just.
00:01:04 Darius: There's no way you could pay me enough for me to.
00:01:08 Jordan: Not at all.
00:01:10 Darius: I mean, he's just like shark by. It's just. I just don't love money enough. I really don't. I wouldn't do it. I could not do it.
00:01:21 Jordan: I agree. I hate everything about him. The one thing I do appreciate is that he's brought the black community together. There's not a lot of things we can all agree on. And the fact that we can all agree that we genuinely and truly and sincerely from the bottom of our hearts hate this. That warms my heart. They did.
00:01:37 Darius: Someone posted him like making the content, but you know how sometimes they'll like do a behind the scenes and you'll see like the cameraman in the shot?
00:01:44 Jordan: Yeah, yeah.
00:01:45 Darius: And it's just painful. It's like, dude.
00:01:52 Jordan: Shooting content is cringe automatically in public. It just is, you know, but like he deserves to be like, he actually genuinely is cringe. Like, you know.
00:02:01 Darius: No, I mean, you almost have to just get over it if you're trying to.
00:02:05 Jordan: Yeah, you got to just like forego shame.
00:02:07 Darius: Yeah, yeah, because people are going to like. You try to be cognizant of it. Like when I record a lift at the gym or something, if someone's in the shot, I just won't post it because they didn't ask for that ****. Right. You know, they're working out, minding their business. And like you try to be cognitive of that. But yeah, I mean, you got to know that you're going to look crazy regardless. But he's just, again, he makes me acutely aware of how much I don't love money enough. I just, I do not care. Yeah. They could give me 10 bands a drop. I would not do that ****. I could not do it. Like I am not, I'm not pop, locking, dropping and screaming shark bite.
00:02:50 Jordan: Over in a restaurant and dancing like that.
00:02:53 Darius: Like the was called grooving gorilla before. Don't tell me. And he changed his name because he was like, I didn't know. And I'm like, where are you from where you don't know being big and black and calling yourself a gorilla is a bad look?
00:03:06 Jordan: Where are you from? That you don't know that dancing in public like that is a bad look, man.
00:03:10 Darius: I was a jiving *** Dude, I think I saw that you commented on like when I commented on the T Morant, John Morant's dad.
00:03:21 Jordan: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:03:22 Darius: Generally speaking. Right. If you're the only black dude there and you're the only one dancing, you're probably not. It's not a good look. Like it's just not.
00:03:31 Jordan: It's never. Yeah, it's never.
00:03:34 Darius: That's a tough.
00:03:34 Jordan: Even if the music is playing, it just, it just looks, it just looks bad. Like, you know what I mean? Like it, never looks unjiggabooish.
00:03:41 Darius: No, you can't be both the only black guy and the only one dancing.
00:03:46 Jordan: No, I always, when I ever, whenever I see like situations like that in public, I always think of that viral sound where it's like, dance, monkey dance. Yeah.
00:03:54 Darius: It's, you know, and then he just, man, I guess that's for a different segment.
00:03:58 Jordan: But yeah, there's a, there's a, in the comment section in TikTok, it's like, And there's a trending company people use when someone just has no shame in public and they say, social anxiety, I hate to see you coming. And that's what I think of whenever I see his content.
00:04:15 Darius: I don't wish him well. I hope the next question is that he's some poisoning. Not like life threatening.
00:04:25 Jordan: Like that one scene in the long came Polly where Ben still just blows up the bathroom like that.
00:04:30 Darius: Yeah, just like a day on the couch with some Sprite and some Pepto Bismol. You just sit you down for a little bit, you know. Speaking of food and hopefully not eating stomach aches, how was your holiday?
00:04:42 Jordan: It was great. I had a really good time. So Thanksgiving we did at my aunt's house. We do our aunt's house every year, last few years. So We all kind of basically a potluck, everybody signs up for whatever they're going to do, whatever they're going to bring in stuff. So it was a really good time. The food was fantastic. It's one of those situations where like, you know, when you're really hungry and then you take like 5 bites and then you're stuffed, but you just got to power through because it was Thanksgiving. Like it was basically that.
00:05:13 Darius: Do you eat breakfast the morning of Thanksgiving?
00:05:16 Jordan: No, I actually didn't eat. I don't think I ate the whole day, actually, now that I think about it until dinner.
00:05:22 Darius: I used to be that way, but now it ain't got any, it ain't no full spread country breakfast, but I got, if I go into it just on E, I'm just gonna be gluttonous. So I put a little something on my stomach, especially because like, especially if it's like a gathering, I'm with family, I'm gonna start drinking. And so you don't want to do that on empty stomach. And it's just, you know it could go real left but anyway it's.
00:05:45 Jordan: Yeah oh no you're good yeah same so we so we ate the food was great we usually start out with actually we'll put out like charcuterie a shark good wow a really good charcuterie board so we'll kind of start out with that and then we'll chill and stuff catch up and all that have a couple drinks and then we'll do dinner then after dinner we did games we have you played this game called grab the mic no it's really really fun definitely recommend it there's like a little rubber microphone, you put it like on a stand or whatever. And then a person reads a card with a word. And the first person to grab the card or grab the mic has to immediately sing like song lyrics with that word in it.
00:06:23 Darius: Okay.
00:06:23 Jordan: So it's like a super cool, like word association game. So we played that for a couple of hours. My uncle made this really good bunch. I know that bad.
00:06:31 Darius: Content, but I'm about to Google that game. So.
00:06:33 Jordan: Okay. Yeah. Go ahead. So my uncle made a punch like apple cider with hot tamales. We do every, every like for Thanksgiving, Christmas, we make that. And then he brought gold schlager so you could make it alcoholic if you wanted to. So we all did those. That was fun. Just hang out and just chill with the fam. So that's always a good time. So mom's had the family and it's always great to see everybody because we're all kind of people are in college and stuff. So it's just, you know, we're all spread out a little bit everywhere. So it's always nice we can come back together.
00:07:03 Darius: The auto frame is weird. It just like put me on a roller coaster. I'll tell you it though. All right, cool, So let me ask you this. How long do you eat Thanksgiving leftovers? This is a hot topic of discussion on the internet.
00:07:19 Jordan: It is, and I actually figured we would talk about this. So we usually do maybe like 5, 6 days, generally.
00:07:29 Darius: What?
00:07:30 Jordan: Not literally, not literally. We don't, you don't eat everything. It's just like, you have the option to, but like my mom cooked like a couple of days later. So, we've not just been eating that, So, I mean, by the, by Friday or Saturday, most of like the main courses are gone anyway. It's just like a little bit of sides left anyway. So it's not, you know.
00:07:53 Darius: That's always been my question is how much are y'all cooking? Not y'all the right, you know, like we had leftovers, but people talk about five, six days. I'm like, that **** didn't last. Cook the food Wednesday and Thursday. You eat it Thursday. Friday, I just run the plate back.
00:08:10 Jordan: Right.
00:08:11 Darius: Just run it straight back. No notes, you know, just free. It's a rerun. Saturday is when I get into, you know, repurposing maybe turkey sandwiches, maybe like a turkey soup. Right. Cut up the meat from the turkey, make a turkey soup or, you know, whatever you want to do. I've done egg rolls before with leftovers, just, you know, that's when you get creative. Sunday, throw that **** out. It's over. It's time to cook again. No, okay. So it's like Sunday, throw that **** out. Maybe order pizzas. Monday, hard reset. We're back cooking. It's over. You know, I eat it Friday. I repurpose it Saturday. Sunday, that **** is in the trash. We are done here.
00:08:49 Jordan: I get that. Yeah. First, usually it's like around Tuesday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We usually are pretty much done. I will say though, the only thing I don't like is people are like, my God, I'll eat leftovers after more than like 2 days, whatever. It's like, okay, like first of all, don't actually eat like you grew up with money. Number one. Number 2, what is meal prep? It's just leftovers. You cook that food on Sunday and you eat that till Friday. Relax.
00:09:10 Darius: Is the food hygiene police. Right. It's just like, well, there's some things I agree with.
00:09:16 Jordan: Yeah.
00:09:19 Darius: We used to do it all the time, but now I look at it and it's kind of gross. Like when you go to a cookout and it's hot out and that macaroni and cheese is just sitting outside for three hours, it's like, you know, I'm going to pass on that. That macaroni and cheese has been under that 90 degree sun for three hours. Would you drink a glass of milk that had been sitting outside for three hours?
00:09:37 Jordan: Correct. Okay, that's okay.
00:09:38 Darius: Probably shouldn't eat that mac and cheese.
00:09:41 Jordan: Yeah. So I went to a Friendsgiving. Saturday before Thanksgiving.
00:09:45 Darius: And one more one more food hygiene thing real quick. Yeah. Blowing out birthday candles is gross. You're spitting all over.
00:09:50 Jordan: We don't do. We don't do that anymore. We've my family. We basically retired that since COVID. We're like, that's actually really disgusting that we've been doing, you know, whole lives.
00:09:58 Darius: It took COVID for me to think about it, but I'm like, actually, that is actually gross. They got it.
00:10:01 Jordan: We're like, it's actually gross. Yeah. So we'll do like the, you know, the hand, the hand thing or whatever.
00:10:08 Darius: You know, just. Sing the happy birthday, eat the cake. We really don't need the, you know. Anyway, sorry.
00:10:14 Jordan: How was your friendsgiving? Yeah, I'm gonna say to your point, yeah, we had friendsgiving at my boy Corey's house in Charlotte and he catered everything, cooked everything. And he was like, take whatever y'all want. He's like, cause I'm throwing this in the trash. Like he was like not doing the leftover thing. It was fun. We had a good time. We had a little, a couple of my friends smoke big hookah smokers, so they had a little section smoking hookah. Of course, people were running spades. We had to send somebody out for a couple bottles, which I went in on. So they came back and it was like, yay, just doing lots of shots. I had the Bluetooth speaker.
00:10:53 Darius: You just came back with Thanksgiving food, basically.
00:10:56 Jordan: Yeah, literally, like literally. Yeah.
00:10:58 Darius: I saw some of the festivities on Instagram.
00:11:06 Jordan: Yeah.
00:11:06 Darius: And it looked like a good time. It looked like a good time. It's on camera, but it looked like a good time.
00:11:12 Jordan: Yeah, we'll have to talk off wax about the rest.
00:11:17 Darius: It looked like a good time.
00:11:21 Jordan: This one of the sounds where my friend, you have your friends be like, yeah, I saw your location. I was like, okay, yeah, he's okay.
00:11:28 Darius: Did you, did you stay in Charlotte?
00:11:31 Jordan: Yeah, I did. Actually, we got up there the night before, Friday night. Some friends were having a different friend group were having a kickback and they were like, hey, come hang out with us. So I hung out with them. So the night and then Saturday just recovered and then Friendsgiving. What did I do Sunday? yeah. So Sunday, a couple of us went to a friend's house. They have really nice like loft view of their on their apartment like lounge area overlooking the city. So we just kind of hung out there. Had some apps, then we went and got some Chinese food, chilled for a little bit. And then I got back on the road.
00:12:09 Darius: Sounds like a good time. Well, happy holidays to all of the listeners and viewers.
00:12:14 Jordan: Yeah, shout out to all y'all.
00:12:17 Darius: From out the trunk, we did a little behind the scenes. We didn't record the week of the holiday. So you might be hearing this out of order, but Merry Christmas if that's the case. So. Happy holidays, Merry Christmas.
00:12:32 Jordan: Kwanzaa's coming up soon. So festivals for the rest of us.
00:12:37 Darius: We are all-encompassing for all the holidays. We wish everyone a good time. You want to talk about great inventions?
00:12:46 Jordan: So I saw a tweet of a really cool aerial shot of a 747 plane flying through the air, like from above as opposed to just, from land or whatever. And somebody quoted it with like, this is, I don't care what anyone says, it's probably the greatest invention ever. Which I do think they have a great case for it, obviously. But it's just kind of wondering what are some of the greatest inventions of all time. Also, I think we kind of really forget that like a A plane is like kind of a miraculous thing. Like the fact that someone found a way to put a metal box in the air and carry 300 people.
00:13:20 Darius: Yeah, you know, when I saw that tweet, I did, I did think about that. And I was like, for a couple hundred bucks, you basically can get teleported across the country, which is kind of insane.
00:13:32 Jordan: Yeah, it really is. We just like normalize it.
00:13:36 Darius: You know, and For the most part, other than take off Atlanta, you don't even feel like you're in the air. Like you can just surf the internet, you can watch a movie. They can feed you up there.
00:13:46 Jordan: Yeah, they have Wi-Fi and ****.
00:13:49 Darius: And you're literally in a tube in the sky flying at 500 miles an hour and you don't feel any of it. So that's up there. You want to talk recent inventions or like in the history of human civilization?
00:14:02 Jordan: I'm done for all of it. What you got? What you got?
00:14:04 Darius: Well, I mean, it's hard to beat fire. That allowed us to cook food, protective.
00:14:07 Jordan: That is typically an invention. Yeah, the second intervention.
00:14:12 Darius: Fire and language are what separate us from the rest of the animals kingdom is we can communicate with the spoken word in a way that a lion can't. If I see a lion behind you, I can go, hey, Jordan, there's a lion behind you. But if a lion sees me pointing a gun at another lion, there's no way. He's just going to roar and that's it. So communication and fire, allowing us to cook food, protecting us from predators and keeping us warm. It's up there. But going recent, it's hard to beat air conditioning.
00:14:47 Jordan: Yes, that is very clutch.
00:14:49 Darius: It's, you know, it basically repopulated the South and boosted a lot of the South, the revitalization of the South is only possible because a lot of buildings previously, I mean, I'm old enough to remember where central air conditioning was like a luxury item. That was what rich people had. We had that big *** unit in the window and it only air conditioned like the 30 feet around it. And that makes it really hard to live in Arizona. True. Now Phoenix is a booming metropolis because Central air conditioning is ubiquitous. Right. And so I would go with central air conditioning off the top of my head. How about you?
00:15:26 Jordan: That's a good one. This one, it's kind of a two-parter, I guess. I would say like the television slash film itself. The fact that I still, I kind of mean like research this. It's like, you know, someone was like, hey, let's put pictures in a box and power it with electricity. And we'll just entertain ourselves with that for the next 100 years. And everything kind of I feel like a lot of it just have spawned from that. You know, we don't I don't think we get computers and cell phones if we don't have a television first.
00:16:00 Darius: Is TV a net positive though?
00:16:02 Jordan: I'd say yes, it's a net positive. I think we have abused it. So it's become a negative. You know, it's sort of like like, you know, opioid opiates, you know, just a pain reliever at one point. And then, you know, people abuse it and turn it into perverse and turns it into a drug, you know? So I think, like, we do need to know what's going on in the world. And I think TV is one of the faster ways to be able to, you know, tap into that. You know, if we didn't have television, how long would it have taken for us to find out about like 9/11 or, you know, the Kennedy assassination, any major moment in history Over the last 60, 70 years, everyone talks about, oh, we were all gathered around our TVs watching XYZ happen.
00:16:52 Darius: The issue you run into is that most people like don't watch TV for that. They just watch slop. Right. And so true. It's making them dumber. I think TV in general is, I mean, I've only ever known television, but you go back and you watch, I mean, television has made our politics worse. Yeah, I don't think it's close. Now there's now a prerequisite requirement being good on TV, which has nothing to do with governing.
00:17:22 Jordan: Not just being good on TV, but also being good looking is important now too.
00:17:24 Darius: I mean, a lot of ugly people, a lot of ugly presidents would not have been able to make it if TV existed.
00:17:33 Jordan: Yeah, there's that famous.
00:17:35 Darius: Go ahead. Sorry.
00:17:36 Jordan: There's a famous line Nixon had where he's like, you know, part of the reason I lost the debate to Kennedy was I don't look good on TV. And I was like sweating and ****. And it just looked like I didn't know what I was talking about.
00:17:45 Darius: Yeah. I mean, the whole concept of a debate is very, it's just, it's just theater, right? So it's right.
00:17:52 Jordan: Yeah.
00:17:54 Darius: Net positive, I would say yes for TV, but I think TV was like a gateway drug to like, I think smartphones are just a net negative. I don't even think it's close. I think just. They're just, they brain sink. They're making us all dumber. And TV is almost like a gateway drug to that. Now, like I don't particularly enjoy watching TV just to watch it unless it's like sports or something like that. But now the smartphones are so bad. TV is the smart entertainment option now. Like putting your phone down and watching a television show actually requires more cognitive burden. It's like a higher cognitive burden than just the phones. I mean, TV, I would say, general is a net positive but the phones are just I mean we if they they should just pass a law to make all phones dumb again and we would all be better for it I would say I mean I'm a hypocrite my phone a smartphone I got all the apps on it.
00:18:50 Jordan: Right we all got all the apps.
00:18:51 Darius: But I mean I can feel like when I read like a text that's not on my phone like you can just all almost feel like it feels like work. Yeah, it feels like work. It's strenuous. And when I put down the phone to watch like a movie for the pod and it's like 2 hours without my phone, it almost there's almost like a good feeling to it when I like it's just weird how just even 2 hours away from it can almost feel like a high. But no, I wish all the phones were dumb again. We were better off for it.
00:19:26 Jordan: Yeah, that's probably true. I went to the movie Sunday and I obviously wasn't really on my phone during the movie. And it's nice to be entertained to the point where you're not really thinking about it. I think I maybe checked scores of a game or something like that, whatever, real quick, but I wasn't doing scrolling while I was in front of the big screen. Yeah, something that is a great point you make there about the point of TV was supposed to be a sense of communication and community. And it's kind of turned into the opposite. It's just turned into an isolating piece of technology now. It's just, people don't want to go out anymore. So they sit at home because they can program everything because streaming services and just watch whatever caters to their attention span or lack thereof. And they're not, you know, engaging with things or people that would actually stimulate them.
00:20:16 Darius: Because those things bring friction and what people want is a frictionless life. You know, they want, yeah, they wanted the TV to just, you don't even, even the way we watch TV has gotten worse because it used to be you watch what was on television, which made that, which exposed you to things that weren't necessarily catered to you. And now the apps are programmed for you. And so you're not even being, you.
00:20:41 Jordan: Don't see anything new.
00:20:42 Darius: You know, it used to be the case that you watch what your parents watch, you listen to what they watch, or even you read what they read. You know, I didn't have an unlimited supply of books when I was a kid. So when I was done reading my books, Grab my dad's books, grab my mom's books. And now, you know, and I love the Kindle, but you're only reading the books that are for you now. And even that's making us worse, you know?
00:21:01 Jordan: Yeah.
00:21:02 Darius: So no, I mean, I think TV, I would say TV is a positive in general, but that's probably the last entertainment invention that was good for us. The rest of this **** is just slop. That's just pure slop. But, You know, I don't see, I mean, AI is only making it worse. Now people are getting, you know, they're getting their entertainment crafted and even more crafted to them. It's not even made by real people anymore. So, you know, I think I worry, man, the kids are illiterate. The kids can't read. Because why would they need to? They, you know, the book report does it for them and there's reason, you know, There's a reason why you want to, like any muscle, if you don't use your brain, you lose it. And I worry about that. So any other adventures?
00:22:05 Jordan: You know, the light bulb is pretty helpful.
00:22:10 Darius: Electricity in general.
00:22:12 Jordan: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:22:14 Darius: To this day, we still, abundant electricity, too deep to meter will unlock everything for us. So we're not even there yet, but obviously, a lot goes into when you flick the lights, it just works every time. And people don't realize that that's, it's kind of a miracle, you know?
00:22:32 Jordan: Yeah. Laundry machines, like washing and dryers. I mean, how close are you to a river? You know what I mean?
00:22:40 Darius: Just think of how much more productive, how much higher your productivity is because you don't have to just having them in your home.
00:22:48 Jordan: You know, not to go to laundromat.
00:22:50 Darius: Laundromat, you know, wasting 6 hours of your Saturday washing clothes, making it an event instead of just being able to throw it on while you do other stuff.
00:22:57 Jordan: Yeah.
00:22:58 Darius: To say nothing of back when they had to hand wash clothes, just how many home household appliances just increase your productivity in general. True. So yeah, I would those are good ones. Yeah, I really I got I think I kind of I got it with fire communication.
00:23:16 Jordan: Yeah, fire is good. Yeah.
00:23:18 Darius: And air conditioning.
00:23:20 Jordan: So yeah, that's a good one. I'm trying to think. Let's see. I really enjoy trains, like riding trains, taking the train. It's cheap, you know, it's it's It's as efficient, sometimes more efficient than a car because you're not really, there's no traffic for the most part unless you have to stop and wait for another track train to cross your path. Yeah, I say the train. Train's a good one too.
00:23:49 Darius: Derek Thompson, a podcaster, used to work for the Atlantic, but he's got a substack now. He had a he had an episode on his podcast about it was about AI, but he prefaced it by saying, you know, this invention is similar to the train. And what a lot of people don't understand is that because if you were born in where we were born, you didn't get it what life was like before the train. But the train opened up the world. before trains, people never really moved more than 10 miles from when they lived. And the train basically was like going to space and it allowed for massive productivity gains and economic prosperity because now goods can travel hundreds of miles and you can, people can become more specialized and all of that. So the train is a good one. Yeah, that's true.
00:24:36 Jordan: That's a good one.
00:24:37 Darius: Yeah. Good cash, ****** movies. What you got?
00:24:41 Jordan: Yeah. So there's a picture of Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, and Zac Efron when they were in that awkward moment.
00:24:49 Darius: Okay.
00:24:50 Jordan: And someone was like, they quote it was like, this movie was terrible, but God, what a cast. Yeah. And it was, of course, right before Miles and Michael, I mean, Zac was already huge, but before they like super blew up, you know, Miles got whiplash not too far after that. And I think a year or two later, Michael B, John Creed. So, you know, things were taken off for them ever since. So I just got to be thinking about like movies with really good cast or like really likable cast that just for whatever reason just didn't turn out right or didn't work. Or is it is it one of those things where if you like the cast, you're just like, except that the movie's not great, but you just kind of watch it anyway?
00:25:27 Darius: So by movie, I'm assuming using plot script, right?
00:25:30 Jordan: Yeah.
00:25:33 Darius: Yeah. I mean, Yeah, I would say obviously the plot's the most important part because I'll watch a great plot with bad, unknown actors and actresses. But no, I believe a good cast can carry a ****** script. It's not really, it's not ideal. Right. But I mean, what's a rom-com if not a ****** script?
00:25:53 Jordan: Good with a good cast. Yeah.
00:25:55 Darius: No, I guess.
00:25:55 Jordan: It's pretty much every Hallmark movie ever.
00:25:58 Darius: Yeah. The Tyler Perry, why did I get married movies are good, but that's not because of his writing.
00:26:03 Jordan: The script sucks. Yeah, it's just a cast.
00:26:06 Darius: It's just a cast. Yeah, of course, I think so. I will say that movie That awkward moment was. Yeah, before Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller were good. And Zac Efron was never crazy about his acting until he was a wrestler a year ago, two years ago. Yeah, whenever he was. Iron Claw, whatever. So I wouldn't use that movie as an example. But, you know, right, right. I mean, every Adam Sandler movie after a certain after they used to be good.
00:26:40 Jordan: Yeah.
00:26:43 Darius: Yeah, the fact they're.
00:26:49 Jordan: Making a grown-ups 3 is a testament.
00:26:51 Darius: Are they really?
00:26:52 Jordan: Yes.
00:26:54 Darius: Oh my God. Why?
00:26:57 Jordan: I'm like, first of all, the kids are literally grown-ups now. One of them, rest in peace, passed away. So I just really don't see the point of doing a We just, we really are just out of ideas.
00:27:11 Darius: You see, they're like thinking about a Creed 4 and I'm like.
00:27:14 Jordan: Yeah, I saw that. Yeah, I think they're good. It's going to be basically just based on the daughter. So basically a spin off, I guess.
00:27:21 Darius: Why?
00:27:22 Jordan: I don't know. I mean, **** I don't know, man. I did like the act. She was very talented. Yeah, I don't really know why. I'd rather see Creed 4 with like.
00:27:31 Darius: How about Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Cooler write a new movie? Yeah, that's just We're talking about, it was already a spin-off of a five movie set. We got a trilogy out of it. Why are we spending a ninth movie in this world?
00:27:49 Jordan: I don't know. You know what? I would rather, yeah, I'm down with them working on another movie. Or even if, I'm sure there's a way they could do it, where they could bring back Killmonger There's got to be a way because I think obviously we didn't know what was going to happen. We didn't know what ended up was going to happen to Chadwick. Obviously, rest in peace. I don't think they would have. I think in hindsight, killing Killmonger in Black Panther 1 was a mistake. And I just feel like there's got to be some creative way to undo that for the sake of the universe, not the universe. I mean, you know, the Black Panther universe.
00:28:27 Darius: It's up until recent continuity errors were not a big deal. Just make a movie. It's fine. Yeah. Who's going to walk out the theater like, no, he died in the first one.
00:28:35 Jordan: Damn it, Michael B. Jordan's in the movie.
00:28:39 Darius: That stifles creativity when people feel like they have every I dotted and every T crossed. Now, I don't think they should do that just because I wasn't like Black Panther 1 was good. I thought Wakanda Forever was just a bad movie. You're going to think I'm kind of just done with it. We're good now. Really? Really need to start a point in that universe. You have to give her nothing to do. Yeah. The movie has no lead. You give series the lead. The Mexican guys.
00:29:13 Jordan: And she almost ruined the whole ******* movie, by the way.
00:29:15 Darius: They try to shoehorn in Ironheart, give her nothing to do. Just wasn't a good movie under obviously trying circumstances, but it was not a good movie.
00:29:25 Jordan: And we're forgetting also there was COVID and the writer's strikes. It just was like, when it went wrong, it all went wrong at once.
00:29:30 Darius: Yeah, but they didn't give us a COVID writer's strike discount. So they charged me like it was a regular movie, so I'm gonna judge you like it's a regular movie. You know, so I don't really...
00:29:43 Jordan: Yeah, but you know, Ryan Coogler is a legend, and you know, we've given people more grace for less. Yeah.
00:29:49 Darius: I mean, look, I went and saw the next two movies he dropped or. Yeah. I can now see the next one he dropped. But that was not a good one. I'm not going to lie.
00:29:59 Jordan: It wasn't a good movie. No, yeah, for you. Yeah. But I think if they do a time jump and they just, they have, because obviously T'challa Junior, they have him so they can do a time jump and have an adult actor play. I'm assuming Damson or Aldous Hodge hopefully can do T'challa Junior and problem solved. So, and that's for free Disney. So if y'all want to Look out for us invited to the premiere.
00:30:21 Darius: We'll be there. We'll be there.
00:30:23 Jordan: Yeah, I promise I'll get my haircut for it.
00:30:26 Darius: You won't see all of this.
00:30:30 Jordan: We will wear suits.
00:30:32 Darius: Well, no, I do think I think it happens more often than not because the demand for movies far exceeds the supply of good scripts. Right. You know, if you look up big movies come out infrequently, but if you look up your movie theater, there's two or three new movies coming out every week. And so that's 52 weeks a year. Ain't that much good writing in the world. So it is often the case that a good cast can carry a ****** movie.
00:31:03 Jordan: Yeah.
00:31:04 Darius: One could say that's what happened with Wakanda forever. Moving right along. So I w
