[00:00:02]Darius: when Woke was at its peak. I guess I just have accepted that I'm a little ableist. Welcome to Out the Trunk with Jordan and Darius. My name is Darius. That's these all up in your area on all socials.

[00:00:16]Jordan: And I'm Jordan. That's Jordan be writing on all socials.

[00:00:18]Darius: Is there a segment where we like to let you guys know what's going on, what's on our mind, what we saw on the internet? Are you familiar with MLB PA director Tony Clark? I believe his name is.

[00:00:32]Jordan: The name sounds familiar. Yeah.

[00:00:34]Darius: He was a great baseball player, but that's beside the point. He recently had to resign from being the director of the Players Association. Oh, yeah, because he was caught having an affair with a subordinate. But that's beside the point. The subordinate was his sister-in-law. I saw the pictures.

[00:00:51]Jordan: I saw the pictures.

[00:00:53]Darius: Which begs the obvious internet question. Sister-in-law can be one of two things. So which is the tougher affair to explain? Your wife's sister or your brother's wife? Which sister-in-law is worse to have to explain to people?

[00:01:14]Jordan: That's tough. I'm going to go wife sister. Because yeah, I'm just going to go wife sister. I don't even know. I don't know. Because there's just no explanation there. Like, I mean, you hear people have like situations where like a sibling, something horrible happens and then they marry, like that kind of thing happens. But the wife's sister. There's no reason for that. And everybody's alive and healthy. I don't know. That's pretty nuts.

[00:01:50]Darius: You can be like, look, I like the gene pool so much. I went in for a double dip.

[00:01:54]Jordan: I mean, I guess, but did you see the picture of both of them? There's no explanation for that. There's no, dog, she looks, respectfully, she looks, she snuck on Earth. I don't know. Oh, I don't know what these would look like.

[00:02:05]Darius: Tony Clark's The Fair People.

[00:02:07]Jordan: Oh, Google it, dog. That **** I saw that **** on like TikTok or something somewhere. I was like, is that AI or something? I thought it was like a I thought it was a set photo from like the Bride of Frankenstein.

[00:02:20]Darius: Okay, I was expecting worse. But like, I mean, he's a damn near 60 year old man. Like he's not.

[00:02:25]Jordan: Maybe I just saw a really bad photo because the photo I saw. She is. I don't know.

[00:02:31]Darius: She is age appropriate. And as the kids say, they are looks matched. And so. I think. The harder conversation with to explain would be. Your wife's sister. Because.

[00:02:54]Jordan: Like, how do you even get that close? Like, you know.

[00:02:57]Darius: Well, I mean. I mean, it's possible.

[00:03:03]Jordan: I mean, yeah, but just.

[00:03:06]Darius: Which, man?

[00:03:08]Jordan: Like a full on affair, dude, like.

[00:03:10]Darius: Imagine like you lost your job and that's the second piece of bad news for the day. I guess. Oh, yeah, that's. not even the worst of the news you have.

[00:03:21]Jordan: Oh, right. They work together. I keep forgetting they work together. Yeah, OK.

[00:03:27]Darius: I would rather have to have the conversation with that's worse because. Okay, I got it. Wife's sister, you could divorce and be done with that. Your brother's your brother forever.

[00:03:39]Jordan: Yes, your brother forever.

[00:03:40]Darius: So I guess wife's, the worst, the easier conversation to have would be wife's sister because they're a family, but you're only in there by marriage.

[00:03:56]Jordan: Association.

[00:03:57]Darius: Correct. And so, but your brother, he gonna be at Thanksgiving forever.

[00:04:00]Jordan: That's, yeah, that's. And so, but just by as most of you, almost have no choice but to fix it, or at least be civil to one another. The other situation, like there's, if you, I mean, I don't know if they have kids or not. They have kids.

[00:04:14]Darius: I imagine so. He's like 50 years old.

[00:04:16]Jordan: Okay, yeah, so right. Yeah, 60 years old or whatever. So I mean, like you got, but they're probably old enough where the kids, they can co-parent and the kids are probably teenagers or maybe grown up at this point. You know what I mean? Yeah, I just feel like for one, it's your brother. And that's horrible, obviously. And I would never do it to my brother and vice versa. But like you're going to see each other. Something's got to give at some point. Your ex-wife has no reason to ever really be cool with you again.

[00:04:42]Darius: And that's her sister, not your sister. So. Right.

[00:04:45]Jordan: And you've ruined her relationship with her sister too. So like you've ruined 3 relationships, you know, well, probably five or six competitors, considering there's kids too involved. So like.

[00:04:55]Darius: The kids got, they got beef with you and they aunt now. Yeah.

[00:04:59]Jordan: Who's going to babysit them now? What are you going to do? The grandparents got to pick a side. That's just collateral damage.

[00:05:08]Darius: Don't **** your co-workers. And if you do, don't **** your co-workers that are also your relatives.

[00:05:13]Jordan: Let's go ahead. Yeah. And don't **** your wife's relatives.

[00:05:15]Darius: Don't **** your wife's relatives.

[00:05:17]Jordan: Yeah.

[00:05:17]Darius: How about just don't have affairs? Those are bad actions.

[00:05:20]Jordan: Don't cheat. Like that's the central theme of this podcast. Don't cheat.

[00:05:24]Darius: We don't always practice what we preach, but we will give you good advice.

[00:05:28]Jordan: But we're single, so we can't cheat.

[00:05:35]Darius: Fair enough. You want to talk about the BAFTAs?

[00:05:40]Jordan: Yeah. The fiasco that happened, I believe, Sunday night. I believe so, yeah. For listeners who maybe don't know or haven't heard yet, Baptist is basically the British Academy Awards. Michael B. Jordan and Delray Lindo, who were both in centers, they were presenting. They weren't nominated for them. They're just presenting the award. And someone by the name of John Davidson, who they say has Tourette's, screamed out the N-word party. He does have Tourette's. He was directed to promote a documentary, I believe, about Tourette's. And he screamed it out, I believe, three times. And of course, Michael B. Jordan and Deborah Linda, you can just see the shock and restraint and what the ******** on their faces as they have to just power through and continue reading the prompter. Did you want to see the video or you just saw it? I just saw the video.

[00:06:37]Darius: Okay. It was not even on tape delay. They didn't edit it out.

[00:06:42]Jordan: Correct. There's a two hour tape delay.

[00:06:46]Darius: I'm kind of glad they didn't because I, I think visuals in audio matter and things like inward or, when people mispronounce kill or suicide, like that's just not words. Words are these are real words and not curse. Well, that's and they have consequences. Yeah, they have consequences. So people should hear them.

[00:07:10]Jordan: Sorry, yeah, So yeah, so there's a two hour tape delay. They did not edit the slurs out, although they did manage to edit out a gentleman saying Free Palestine. Interesting, interesting dichotomy there. And the Baptist came out and I believe apologized to Michael B. Jordan and Del Rolindo, the British broadcasting company, the channel that it aired on, apologized to Michael B. Jordan and Del Rolindo. Everyone except for the guy who said it. has apologized to Michael B. Jordan and Del Rey Lindo, which I find insane. We understand that the guy's Tourette's and there's a, for people who maybe don't know, there's a condition inside Tourette's called Corpelia, I believe it's pronounced, where that cause you to say screaming obscenities and slurs and all that, things of that nature. I'm just going to say the slurs are involuntary. So just the fact that you scream that word at those people at that time at that award show, Little, a bit suspect to me, but I digress. So I just want to get your thoughts on it. Well, one, did you think that part was involuntary or was it he just being like, oh, I have a Tourette so I'll just scream this and say I have Tourette's?

[00:08:28]Darius: I've just realized, especially like when Woke was at its peak, I guess I just have accepted that I'm a little ableist. I'm just a little ableist, man. I guess this is just what it's got to be. I don't really have much patience for him.

[00:08:50]Jordan: Okay.

[00:08:51]Darius: I just don't, if that makes me ableist, I believe his condition is real, but I mean, you've been with it your whole life. But like someone said, I'm sure if it were his like daughter's wedding, he would some he would work around it and make accommodations to make sure he didn't like scream during her vows.

[00:09:09]Jordan: Correct.

[00:09:09]Darius: And so disabilities are real, most of them. But it is not the world's responsibility to just tolerate if you were walking around just punching people, are they just supposed to sit there and get punched? I'd be like, okay.

[00:09:29]Jordan: It's like that scene from the Joker.

[00:09:31]Darius: I guess I'm just a little ableist. I don't know.

[00:09:33]Jordan: Yeah, it reminds me of that scene from the Joker where remember he had the condition that he laughed when he was uncomfortable.

[00:09:37]Darius: Yeah.

[00:09:37]Jordan: And there's this scene where he was laughing on the bus because the lady didn't want him to like play with her kid. So he hands her the card, you know, whatever. It's like you can't just go around handing like everyone cards saying, Because I just refuse to believe that he's at the grocery store and he sees a black person and that just randomly comes out like that. I don't know.

[00:09:54]Darius: I mean, well, so this is a high stress environment and stressing, but no, like. you mentioned the bus and there's this ongoing like progressive discourse about what to do with people in mental distress on public transportation. And I'm just like, lock them up. Don't be insane about it. Like, what do you mean? Like, you don't, so we're just supposed to deal with insane people like ******* on a bus that's not bad.

[00:10:17]Jordan: Right, there's people that get naked in public and harass women.

[00:10:21]Darius: And I guess it's ableist to say that they should be institutionalized. Well, then I guess I'll be ableist. I don't know what to tell you. Right.

[00:10:29]Jordan: Yeah.

[00:10:29]Darius: I guess that's just what I am.

[00:10:31]Jordan: And for me it was like, okay, guy had Tourette's, all right. But again, the apology for me confirmed, remove any amounts of sympathy I may have had for him, this guy in particular, not people who have Tourette's obviously. That removed anything for me because I'm like the apologies, like, I apologize to, I feel bad for the academy or thanks for understanding, da, da, da, da. But it's like, you could just say, I'm so embarrassed. I'm so sorry that my take caused me to scream that word at those people. You know what I mean? He still hasn't said it yet. So it's just like, obviously you're not sorry about that.

[00:11:05]Darius: The disability advocates would say that in an essence, that's apologizing for your disability. Yeah, I don't agree with that. I don't believe that.

[00:11:14]Jordan: I don't believe that's apologizing for the disability personally.

[00:11:18]Darius: That's just an ism I have. I guess I'm ableist. I don't know what else to say.

[00:11:23]Jordan: Yeah, and it's just interesting to me, everyone who has all this sympathy, because there's a guy who's pretty famous who has some well-known mental health issues, and he said a lot of bad things about certain groups of people, and he lost billions of dollars for that. And I didn't see anyone I didn't see any of these people copping pleas for him. So.

[00:11:41]Darius: Well, I mean, I saw there's plenty of people got pleas for Kanye. Well, fair. They were polar advocates. He can't. I've seen plenty of that.

[00:11:49]Jordan: But I mean, I saw minimal sympathy there.

[00:11:54]Darius: You know, like I said, man, I'm. I won't be buying into a lot of this anxiety ********. I think people on the bus causing social disorder need to be institutionalized. And that person owes Del Rolendo and MBJ an apology. And if that makes me an ableist, then where do I sign my able payment? I don't care. You're not going to take me into pretending that I'm okay with any of this stuff. Like, no, I just.

[00:12:25]Jordan: And by the way, an apology is free. That's not a consequence. It's not like, you know what I mean.

[00:12:30]Darius: Yeah, I mean, I hear the disability advocates, but I just disagree with them. I don't know what to say.

[00:12:40]Jordan: And I honestly, obviously I'm not an expert on this, but I remember watching this amazing documentary. It's called I Have Tourette's Tourette Doesn't Have Me. And it's about the various, you know, tics that people have and things that they do to try to hide it and stuff. Like it was actually a classroom, a group of kids or kids that were in school who had different tics. And like this one girl, she had a tic who was, it was like to scratch like her side. And so she would do things to cover the fact that she was scratching her side. Like she would pretend to drop her pencil all day so she could squat down and be, and you know what I mean? And just, there was the measure that the kids and people in this documentary took to try to camouflage their tics to blend into society was like, it was sad, but you saw that there was an effort there. You know what I mean? And I just find it hard to believe that this dude at one point, at no point just decided to try to like, I don't know. cover his mouth, drink some water, take a walk outside. Like, I don't know, that just this particular saying that word at those people in that moment, it just felt a little too on the nose for an involuntary tic to me. I'm not saying that's for all tics, obviously, but like I've heard Tourette's outburst before and they're a little more sporadic than what we saw on that video.

[00:13:56]Darius: I've said before, man, we need to bring back insane asylums. Like, just throw them in a padded room.

[00:14:01]Jordan: We're good. We don't really...

[00:14:09]Darius: What would be lost? I don't know, like you're just screaming in public and scratching yourself and disrupting. Like, what's lost again?

[00:14:19]Jordan: And even, well, I will say in this to even to you said something about like him being in a high stress environment. You're sitting down watching someone talk. What's stressful about that? I don't know.

[00:14:29]Darius: Well, I mean the.

[00:14:31]Jordan: I guess the overall environment, if you have a social disorder.

[00:14:33]Darius: I imagine if you were handed a ticket to the Academy Awards, you'd be pretty pressed that evening. Yeah, that's true.

[00:14:40]Jordan: You're right. You're right. That's fair.

[00:14:41]Darius: You know, like it's, you're sweating through your pits. Like, you know, like, oh my God, ******* Nia Long just walked through. You know what I mean? I would lose my **** yeah, for sure.

[00:14:55]Jordan: You're right, that's fair.

[00:14:55]Darius: The whole ordeal is you're in uncomfortable clothes, the bucket lights are hot as **** you know, like you're in the movie, like I imagine that's stressful.

[00:15:07]Jordan: That's true. Did you see like it's the links? It's not also it's not even so much the guy who said it because like, you know, It's also the people, some of the lengths that the mental next people are going to try to defend the guy. It's like if you were just saying, hey, he has Tourette's and so that's why I'm defending him. I disagree, but cool. But like I saw this tweet, they went viral earlier today and this girl was like, you mean to tell me that, because there was a report that came out that Michael B. Jordan was obviously disturbed by it. And she was like, you mean he's disturbed by the word that he said a million times in sinners? And it's like, well, first of all, that's a character in a movie. No one gives a **** when Quentin Tarantino does it in movies. So you're gonna give a **** when Michael B Jordan does it in movies number one, #2. Me saying, hey, what's up? Versus a white man screaming at me while I'm on TV in front of all my peers. And one of the biggest moments of my life is not even remotely the same thing.

[00:16:01]Darius: That's so stupid. It's not even worth responding to. Like, what do you like?

[00:16:05]Jordan: I know.

[00:16:05]Darius: I didn't respond, but yeah, it was just like, I don't even believe that.

[00:16:08]Jordan: Right, exactly. It's like when white people are like, what'd you say it?

[00:16:12]Darius: Okay, It's just like, you don't even believe the words you're saying.

[00:16:15]Jordan: You're right, you don't believe it. You're hoping I'm stupid enough to try to argue with you so we don't talk about the actual issue here.

[00:16:23]Darius: So what was like, what's that mean that people with Tourette's shouldn't be able to go to award shows? It's like, if they can't stop from screaming at the stage, then no. I don't know. What do you want me to say?

[00:16:34]Jordan: And by the way, there have been, the Oscars are next month. We're going to do a preview show on it, tune in for that viewers, but there's going to be the Oscars next month. There's going to be however many people in the arena, or not arena, in the auditorium to watch the awards. I'm guessing someone in there has probably has to rush just doing math. And I'm going to assume that no one in there is going to stream that word to any black people on stage.

[00:16:56]Darius: Yeah, you know, and If you have a tick that causes you to scream obscenities, you should just not you should be in a padded room. I don't know what else to say. I'm sorry. We need to bring back insane asylums. Listen, every teacher will tell you that if they have a class of 30 kids, there are two who just constantly ruin it for everyone.

[00:17:27]Jordan: Yeah, that's true.

[00:17:28]Darius: And just expel the two. We have just like, why should they have the ability to ruin the education of everybody's experience?

[00:17:38]Jordan: Yeah.

[00:17:39]Darius: That's just an ongoing theme in society is that the bottom 2% of behavioral people, people with behavior, just ruin it for everybody.

[00:17:46]Jordan: You know, like.

[00:17:49]Darius: Why are they locking up the laundry detergent at Walgreens? Because 2% of people can't behave like normal people.

[00:17:56]Jordan: So now when I go, why do you have to have an ID to get NyQuil and ****?

[00:18:00]Darius: So when I go to Walgreens, I got to get I got to wait around to get some deodorant because people can't behave. So just lock them up.

[00:18:07]Jordan: That's true.

[00:18:08]Darius: That's true. I want if you want a high trust society, you have got to enforce social norms. And if that requires the arm of the state, then we'll just do that. Okay with that.

[00:18:20]Jordan: That's valid. And I will say what is interesting about this conversation and one of the good things that did come out of it is like a lot of, like people always think of like Europe and England and they act like, racism isn't like a thing over there, but a lot of the British actors who come over here, they talk about the racism that they face back home, in England. a lot of the British actors from, obviously they're in the US, a lot of them are British Nigerian, and they talk about their experiences growing up, being in England, being of Nigerian heritage or, of African heritage, being dark skinned, kind of things that they experience. Daniel Kalus talked about it a lot as well. Like it's really bad over there too, like because they're posh in the actions, accents, people kind of assume it's like, everyone's accepting and it's really, really not like that. my brother, he did study abroad 1 semester and he's like, when I went over there, like it was the stare, you get stared at when you're black in public, that happens. But he's like, everywhere I got stared at because like there were just no black people and it was literally, they just were confused in my existence. You know what I mean? So I think that is one good thing that did kind of come out of the conversation. I've seen a lot of social media, a lot of people, black people who are English saying like, yeah, no, it's really bad over there. Like, and they were like saying that if it hadn't been aired on TV and hadn't gone viral a lot, maybe the BBC wouldn't have gotten the flack that they did, because they said a lot of black people in Britain, they're more reserved just because of the culture. So they're less to hold people accountable when they do deal with things like that in public or racism and microaggressions. Obviously, this is an aggression-aggression, but you know what I mean? There's no micro about this.

[00:19:59]Darius: That's a heavy aggression.

[00:20:00]Jordan: Yes, that's a yes. That's like worst case scenario of get out.

[00:20:05]Darius: And they kind of talked about shot for less than that, man. That is true.

[00:20:09]Jordan: Yes. And like, but they're talking about how like, they're kind of relieved because obviously black Americans, we're not going for that ****. And they're like, thank, thank y'all for like supporting them because that's low key supporting us because now like people are going to be a little, now that they see there's consequences, they're a little less, maybe a little less likely to be. So openly disrespectful. And then also the ****** part is like, now no one's talking about like the award itself, like that, I don't even know what happened. Right, they weren't even, they weren't, they were just presenting an award. I don't even know who won the award they presented, but.

[00:20:46]Darius: To be fair, I wouldn't be talking about the BAFTAs under any other circumstance.

[00:20:49]Jordan: Like, did you know they were happening? Well, I knew they were happening because I'm a big movie guy, but like I would have tweeted about the awards and **** you know, or who won and **** you know, like Ryan Kuhler was the first black director to win for best screenplay. That should be news, which also that's insane that happened in 2026. But so yeah, but congrats to all the winners. Shout out salute to Michael B. Jordan and Del Orlando for keeping, unfortunately, having to have the grace that gentleman did not. Obviously, they should never be in that position. But we're rooting for sinners. And this is a sinners, pro sinners, pro black *** pod. So we're rooting for y'all.

[00:21:25]Darius: Low Kido. No lie. I'm going to go check out. I swear it looks like a good movie. Oh, did it? I didn't know.

[00:21:32]Jordan: I don't know anything about it. I probably will check it out, though. I probably looks like a good movie.

[00:21:36]Darius: I'll probably check it out.

[00:21:37]Jordan: I probably will check it out.

[00:21:39]Darius: And I would not have been pretty interested without this.

[00:21:42]Jordan: Yes. Yeah, I will say there were a couple of good jokes that did come out of the situation. One of them was they were like, if I was Michael Jordan, I would act so traumatized so I could get that Oscar.

[00:21:54]Darius: I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but one would say it got to stop talking about that pedophile prince over there. And it got us thinking about a movie we didn't know existed. So true.

[00:22:04]Jordan: And then also, did you, you've seen that viral clip of the show that Delaware Lindo was on a couple years ago? I think it's called like Good News or something like that.

[00:22:10]Darius: Yeah, he was so good. I thought it was real for the longest.

[00:22:12]Jordan: Yeah, everybody thought it was real. Yeah, So for the listeners, there's a scene where, of course, white people are having the conversation of why do black people say it and we can't. And so his character just gets annoyed. It's like, just say it. And they're like, say what? Say it inward because I can't say that. He's like, you can. You can say it right now. I'll say it with you. And you know, answer everybody was like, they caught his bluff.

[00:22:34]Darius: All right. I guess that is true. So video game, we're both gamers.

[00:22:45]Jordan: Yeah.

[00:22:46]Darius: Do you? Are you pro or anti your girl playing video games with you?

[00:22:54]Jordan: I've played video games with a girlfriend before. It was fun. So I'd say pro. We were playing Crash Bandicoot. That's obviously single player game. So we're just, you know, yeah, so I'd say pro. I'm down with that. I've dated some gamer chicks. They have my PSNs.

[00:23:11]Darius: Nah, I'll be a lady. Nah, man. Nah, I like, I need you. I don't really. Nah, nah, you could like, if it's a story game, you watch and ask dumb questions and opportunity annoyed as I answer them. Or like, you know, just like, you know, do the leg on the lap thing. That's cool.

[00:23:34]Jordan: But like, I do love that.

[00:23:36]Darius: Pull it up a controller and playing video games with me. You know, it's important that couples have their own hobbies. And I just, what can I say, man? I like girly girls. I'm not into the whole game.

[00:23:51]Jordan: I guess, but like, I like, I like gamer girls. I like nerdy girls. I'm down with that. Also, like, I feel like every, all the pretty girls now watch anime and **** now. So they're into all that kind of ****. So, yeah, I'm down with that.

[00:24:06]Darius: I wish the anime girls all the best in their dating endeavors.

[00:24:12]Jordan: Yes, I do. That's bigger Jordan 34 on PSN.

[00:24:18]Darius: No, man, I just, you know, it will be like, I just, you know, when you watch, when she's watching her little, what do you call them? Reality shows and dating shows. Like I'm not going to be diving into that. So don't dive into my video games. You know, just, we watch football. you just, why do you know what's going on? It's weird. You're supposed to be like, oh, is that a touchdown? Like, that's cute. Be cute. You're on mute.

[00:24:54]Jordan: Have you seen those tweets where like, I do to be like, I was gaming, I was playing Madden and my girl said like, Audible to a such and such. And everybody was like, no, I'm sorry, dude.

[00:25:09]Darius: You see the one where he was like, I went over a crib and turned a TV on. It was on HDMI one.

[00:25:13]Jordan: Oh, yeah, You're the side piece at that point. You're the side piece at that point.

[00:25:18]Darius: Oh, man. was so comfortable. His PS5 was over there. Yeah.

[00:25:23]Jordan: That's like, that's like 35 bodies.

[00:25:25]Darius: My PS5 has literally not left my TV stand in like 4 years. I don't even know.

[00:25:30]Jordan: Yeah, I'm not. I don't think I've traveled with mine either.

[00:25:32]Darius: And I didn't dated actually several women since the and I brought my PS5 over there. So like it is, it is. That's a whole different level of comfort. He is laid up. Yeah, man. He might live there. Hey, I don't know what's going on. True. It's five. Yeah, but that's a little that's deep, man.

[00:25:52]Jordan: Yeah, I brought my PS4 places, but I don't think I've traveled with my PS5 yet.

[00:25:57]Darius: I'm lying. I did bring it home. I went to visit Minnesota and I was there for like 7 days. And I brought it was a PS4 at the time. So I guess I didn't lie. PS5 hasn't moved, but the PS4, because when you vacation at home, you're on vacation, but everybody else is, you know, like you're the only one on vacation.

[00:26:18]Jordan: So like everybody's still working and living life.

[00:26:20]Darius: Yeah, but so much more. You and Judge Mathis, I'm a lot. So during the day, I was playing God of War until people got off work and then we linked from there. How important is it for you to be close to your future wife's family?

[00:26:35]Jordan: That's an interesting question because my answer for that has actually changed over the years. Like a few years ago, I would have said no, I don't give a ****. Honestly, as I get older and I see more people's families and dynamics with their in-laws and both sides of the family, I think it is really important. And it just also is, what is how it's supposed to be? It's supposed to be the joining of families, I would say I would, if I get married, I would love to have, I would love to be close to her family and vice versa. Because I know that's important for me to be close to my family. That's actually partially why I've been in relationships, quite frankly. So yeah, I'd say it's important or at the very least to be like, have a good rapport and everyone to be similar to each other. You know, I'm not with the whole, I'm on your side of family, they're gonna be mean to me or you're with my side of family, they're gonna be mean to you thing. Like I'm never gonna be a part of that. That's not a situation I ever think should just be like, that's just how it is. Like, I don't **** with that at all. So I'd say it's pretty important. It's more so important that they're just like at least kind and respectful, but I would love, I think it would be important for me to have a good relationship with my wife's family.

[00:27:56]Darius: Yeah, I mean, that makes sense. I guess the first question is, will Does she have a close relationship with them? Oh yeah, that matters. That matters too. Cause if she don't, if it's **** them, then why, you know?

[00:28:06]Jordan: Yeah, if it's **** them, then it's **** them for me too.

[00:28:08]Darius: Yeah. In the question assumes that she has a close relationship to it. And I guess I just don't, I'm not really an antagonistic person, so I don't understand a scenario with which I wouldn't. Yeah. You know, moms love me, man. I've never really had a girlfriend or whatever. that her mom and her family weren't cool with me. So it's important in the sense that like, I'm not one that likes a lot of friction in my day-to-day. And so like, if it's, you know, I'm cool. I ain't really, I'm trying to minimize as much friction in my personal life as possible. So this idea that like, you pulling up for a plate or whatever, and It's hostile from the gate. Like, why? What happened?

[00:28:56]Jordan: Yeah.

[00:28:58]Darius: You know, how do we get here? I don't even understand. Like, what? I mean, now, if there's like a married, I feel like the dudes who are in this situation ain't telling the whole story because.

[00:29:13]Jordan: You're going to be treating.

[00:29:14]Darius: Their daughter, sister, cousin poorly. And that's why they don't like you. Yeah. what's going, what happened to which they're just, they ain't got to be, your best friend, but outward hostility that rarely affects itself out of nowhere. So like what happened? Right. And so I just, it's important in the sense that you want to be peace. You want peace and you want to be amiable with anybody that you have to regularly deal with. But I never understand what's going on to where you're not Yeah, me too.

[00:29:54]Jordan: I haven't really dealt with that a lot. I think I have dated someone whose mom I didn't like at all, but that was pretty much it. And that was just, that wasn't even a function of the way I was treating her. That was just like, we just didn't connect on a human level. We're respectful, whatever, but we're never going to, I was never going to take her to lunch solo type **** but I think like a lot of my women I've dated, like their friends were really nice. I love their family, vice versa, that type of ****. So I guess I've been pretty lucky. I haven't really dealt with that a lot in situations where it was like a real problem. And even like my friends who are married, their families are family to each other's family. You know what I mean? Like I'm friends with my friend's spouse's cousins on Facebook. Like I don't understand the like point of making someone who loves life harder by treating their spouse like ****. Like I really never understood that.

[00:30:54]Darius: Yeah, like I said, there has to be an event that caused it, right? Like it's rarely just.

[00:31:00]Jordan: You would think, yeah.

[00:31:02]Darius: You know, a personality mismatch, which those happen, but To get to outright hostility is bizarre.

[00:31:10]Jordan: Yeah. Like my parents aren't together and like my, some of my mom said I'm having to my dad in like a year or two because it's worse and everything. And he, they saw him for, I think, Thanksgiving or Christmas, Christmas maybe. And it's my uncle who's not super affectionate. He's like, oh my God, I haven't seen you so long. You're not just gonna dap me up, man. Give me a hug. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, obviously the marriage can work out, but they still, or, love my dad. Like when my grandma passed, it was my dad's mom and my aunts, my mom's sisters came to the funeral. You know what I'm saying? Like, so I really don't, I don't understand that at all. Like I, because I've
