[00:00:00]Darius: Welcome to Out the Trunk with Jordan and Darius. We'd like to start the week off with going around the pop culture world, letting you guys know what's on our mind. You wanted to talk about JK Rowling and Emma Watson. What's up?

[00:00:14]Jordan: Yeah, so there's a war going on in the world of Harry Potter. So Emma Watson went on Jay Shetty's podcast called On Purpose, where It was like a two and a half hour interview. I haven't watched the whole thing yet. I usually listen to him during work. And she he asked her about J.K. Rowling and her stance on the trans community. And Emma Furlos, Emma Watson is an outspoken ally of the LGBT community and women's rights, things of that nature. So she more or less basically, honestly, it's interesting because she was killed on both sides for playing both sides against the middle. She kind of just was like, I love JK Rowling. She's a big part of my life. I don't agree with her on this, but there's room to hold space for both realities. And then JK Rowling went in on her on Twitter. Was it yesterday?

[00:01:06]Darius: Yeah, like the wise man once said, don't get into a war of words with the writer.

[00:01:11]Jordan: Yeah, she wrote basically a mini essay. explaining basically how she feels betrayed by Emma and some other members of the cast who have spoken in favor of trans rights. And so, yes, I'll toss to you for your thoughts on that.

[00:01:27]Darius: Well, first, I got to actually people got to see what J.K. said because.

[00:01:33]Jordan: Yeah, they do.

[00:01:34]Darius: There's a line where she just.

[00:01:36]Jordan: Yeah. Was this the privilege one or the ignorance one?

[00:01:40]Darius: Yes. I screenshotted it, but I know this is a good radio, but.

[00:01:46]Jordan: I think she said Emma's so ignorant, she doesn't know she's ignorant. Is that how that thing, I pretty much...

[00:01:50]Darius: Let's see, I had it here in my trash bin.

[00:01:56]Jordan: I was poor when I was writing the book that made Emma famous.

[00:01:59]Darius: Yeah. Great, keep in mind, this is true. Emma's been rich since she was before a child, right? So like other people who've never experienced adult life uncushioned by wealth and fame, Emma has so little experience of real life, she's ignorant of how ignorant she is. She'll never need a homeless shuttle. She'll never go. She's never going to place be placed on a mixed sex public hospital ward. I'd be astounded if she's been in a high street, high street changing room since childhood. Her public bathroom is a single occupancy and it comes with the security man standing guard outside the door. Has she had to strip off in a newly mixed sex changing pool at a council run swimming pool? Is she ever likely to need state-run rape crisis center that refuses to guarantee an all female service to find herself sharing a prison cell with a male ****** who's identified into the women's prison. I wasn't a multimillionaire at 14. I lived in poverty while writing the book that made you made Emma famous. I therefore understand from my own experience what the trashing of women's rights in which Emma has so enthusiastically participated means to women and girls without privileges. So just wanted to say bars. They were well written.

[00:03:08]Jordan: I mean, I disagree with them, but they were well written.

[00:03:10]Darius: I'll say that. So, okay, so what is J.K. Rowling's sin against progressives? Is it just that she was it is it simply that she doesn't believe biological males should participate in women's sports? What is it?

[00:03:25]Jordan: No, she has a sorry, text came through. She basically has been a like devout like she's basically the Dave Dave Chappelle of writers when it comes to like ardent transphobia. Like she's had a history dating back almost 7 or 8 years now of just different comments and participating with certain groups and things of that nature against the trans community. It's just, I think honestly, the biggest crime, so to speak, is that because she's known for writing the Harry Potter books and a big message in those books is tolerance and acceptance and civility and morality, that it's ironic that she's the person that's essentially become a big face of the anti-trans movement.

[00:04:12]Darius: In what ways has she been intolerant? Because from what I can tell, she ardently opposes men or trans women participating in sports with cis women. I'm going to use the right words.

[00:04:26]Jordan: Yes, cisgender.

[00:04:27]Darius: And she opposes trans women in prisons with cis women or women's prisons. And Changing rooms, I think, was one of them as well.

[00:04:41]Jordan: That was one of the things she listened in that quote in a particular tweet. Yes.

[00:04:44]Darius: Those are positions that roughly like 90% of the globe hold.

[00:04:48]Jordan: That's true.

[00:04:49]Darius: I just so fair.

[00:04:50]Jordan: I won't say it's true. I haven't pulled 90% of the world.

[00:04:52]Darius: Correct. But like, these are not things that if you like walked into a bar with 100 people, like I bet you 95 other people would agree with those sentiments. How is she persona non grata for holding a position that the overwhelming majority of society holds?

[00:05:09]Jordan: Well, that's the thing. She's not persona non grata. She's, I think.

[00:05:12]Darius: Amongst progressives, she is. She is canceled for lack of a better word amongst progressives.

[00:05:18]Jordan: In what sense? What is she? What is she lost?

[00:05:20]Darius: I mean, social standing is what I mean. She's nothing. She's a billionaire.

[00:05:24]Jordan: She's a billionaire. She's fine. She's up for life. The same privilege that she's trying to castigate Emma for having. She Right.

[00:05:31]Darius: But she looks at it like I made you. Don't ever speak on me.

[00:05:35]Jordan: Yeah. Right. But she wrote a book like Emma was an actress. She would have gotten a role for playing. She would have played another role, most likely. All likelihood. We don't know. I mean, she played Beauty and the Beast.

[00:05:48]Darius: JK looks at it like. I mean, I get it. She looks at it like Harry Potter is dope. It would have sold itself. I could have picked any 14 year old girl to play those. I picked you. owe me this.

[00:05:59]Jordan: She picked her for a reason to play the role, though.

[00:06:01]Darius: She could have picked anybody. You would have went and saw that movie. The worst woman actor in the world was Hermione.

[00:06:06]Jordan: Yeah, fair. But I mean, I don't know. It's just the interesting to me that she speaks on entitlement while operating from extreme entitlement. Also, she, in terms of like what has she done in terms of anti-trans, she has written a couple books under a pseudonym and those books have extreme transphobic propaganda. So there's that. Also, now I will say in terms of the cancel culture, her lack of popularity, or decreased popularity, I'll put it like that, was a contributing factor into the prequel series getting canceled, Fantastic Beasts, but there was also because of Johnny Depp and allegations and Ezra, what's the other, the kid that plays Flash, Ezra, oh God, what's his last name?

[00:06:46]Darius: Edelman.

[00:06:47]Jordan: No, Ezra Miller, Ezra Miller, him being a problematic. There was several other reasons that contribute to that as well. So I will say that.

[00:07:00]Darius: So let's.

[00:07:00]Jordan: Think more social media presence that that's really been the damning part of her legacy, to be honest with you.

[00:07:06]Darius: I guess my point is we sort of lump everybody into the same bucket. And I don't agree with everything J.K. Rollins. I am I fundamentally oppose trans women participating in cis women's sports. I just think that if that gets me canceled, then so be it. That's literally every normal person I've ever met thinks that's crazy. I there's just no anyways.

[00:07:35]Jordan: So do you think there's do you think there should be a separate sports teams or categories for for trans women?

[00:07:43]Darius: No, I just. Sports are sex segregated for a reason. And it's because once you go through a testosterone driven puberty, you are given lifelong physical advantages. Even if you go on testosterone suppressants, you have different bone structure, you have different like.

[00:07:59]Jordan: Yeah. Do you think they should be able to do sports or like what? would you have them do?

[00:08:06]Darius: I'm fine with mixed gender sports until like puberty. I think there is a fundamental difference once you go through puberty. And I've said, not maybe on the spot, but look, I don't care what bathroom you use. I would call you whatever pronouns you want or whatever name you want. I won't dead name you. I'll go through all of that. But everybody can't do everything. And there are physical, scientific reasons why we sex segregate sports. Olympic sprinting women are on par with high school boys, sprinters. Like they're just, There's a reason why we sex segregated sports.

[00:08:46]Jordan: No, sure. Yeah, I get that.

[00:08:48]Darius: And, a problem that I run into with a lot of progressives is they just assume there will be no such thing as bad faith actors. And it's like when you say, you know, if you as long as you identify as a woman, you can go to a women's person. And it's like, Do I really need to explain to you how that could be taken advantage of? Right. It's like, because, and you talk to them about this and they're just like, well, no one would ever do that because da, da, da. It's like, I promise you that. First of all, you're dealing with the population of men in prison, which however you feel about that, and at best shows a lack of some prior poor judgment, right?

[00:09:26]Jordan: Correct.

[00:09:27]Darius: And you mean to tell me that amongst that population, not anyone would be like, this is a way for me to do some crazy ****. And it's just like, you have to, if your politics don't account for someone acting in bad faith, then you're going to find yourself into weird, logical puzzles. And so to tie it back to JK Rowling, like I don't, I think she's a bit laser focused in a way that I find strange.

[00:09:52]Jordan: Yeah, it's very weird.

[00:09:53]Darius: It's very weird. It's like Wesley Yang, where he's a sub stacker who just literally tweets incessantly about trans people.

[00:10:00]Jordan: It's weird.

[00:10:01]Darius: It gets to be bizarre.

[00:10:03]Jordan: And I was on Twitter, you ****** ** when like the oppressed people are like, yo, what did we do to you? Like I was on Twitter the other day and like literally trans people were like, yo, what did we do to you? Like it's actually crazy.

[00:10:15]Darius: But it's like, you know, how do I word this? Everybody is not going to be able to do everything and the politics can make everyone happy. And, you know, there's there's a reason why we've segregated sports. It is almost anti-feminist to just say there are no advantages and we should just let everyone play all sports. And it's like, no, right. That's not.

[00:10:42]Jordan: No, for sure. Yeah. Like there's that that time of age thing where somebody was like, Oh, Serena could beat the best men's players to play with them. And she was like, No, they would kill me. Like, I'd lose in 5 minutes.

[00:10:53]Darius: Well, it's like I am. of above average strength. And what I bench press is like, if I like tomorrow, if I just wanted to participate in like the women's strongest competitions, I would dust them. Because, and I'm like knowing like, if I participate like men my size bench 400 pounds. But like, if I just switched over My, the weight that I bench would be, I would win all the records. Like, you're just never going to convince me that that's fair in any way, shape or form.

[00:11:24]Jordan: No, I get you. I get you. The sport. The sports makes sense to me. I mean, I understand with the sports, obviously. It's more just like the human rights aspect that I will always be in favor of.

[00:11:36]Darius: For sure. I don't care what bathroom anyone uses. I don't.

[00:11:39]Jordan: Yeah, for sure.

[00:11:41]Darius: I don't. People deserve to be called what they want to be called. What is your name? Exactly.

[00:11:45]Jordan: Yes, I agree. I'm going to call you your pronouns. I'm going to call you your name or gender that whatever you want me to call you.

[00:11:51]Darius: But a lot of sort of you will get to it in the later in the let's get serious conversation with Coates and Ezra. But pragmatism is important. and you're not helping the people you purport to help if you make your position so politically toxic that you can't get anyone to support it. And so, but to tie it back to JK Riley, I don't know how we got that far off the field, but I've searched far and why for that. Other than her being more than a little bit obsessive, I find that the positions you see hold aren't actually that strange to me. She's against the sports. She's against into the prisons thing. But as far as I can tell, she's not against the concept of it. She's just against, she just believes in certain things should be sex segregated as far as I can tell. I have not, I'm not a JK Rowling scholar.

[00:12:44]Jordan: Yeah, she doesn't, yeah, she doesn't do obviously a lot of interviews anymore. And I'm even like, to your point about, like I'll say a soft cancel, if you will. There was the 20th anniversary Harry Potter special that came out in 2020 during the pandemic, where it was like, they brought back all the crew. cast and did interviews and all that and they just used old footage for her and they literally had like a note like this old footage like they made a point to notate that this is not something that she was shot with recently because of everything that she had been saying about the community. So I do want to notate that.

[00:13:17]Darius: Do you understand why she would feel betrayed by Emma and Dan Radcliffe?

[00:13:30]Jordan: I get it. But I mean, keep in mind, she has not. I'll make a case.

[00:13:36]Darius: She's not Cosby. She didn't commit any crimes. She's not going to prison. She literally has a different position on a couple of policy issues that they disagree with her on.

[00:13:48]Jordan: So I understand how she could feel betrayed. Yes. But I also think that she could have taken their into consideration the fact that they would have to answer for her because they're public figures, more public figures than she is. They're more seen, they're gonna get more interviews, they're gonna get asked about those things she says, and she can take that into account. And she's on them since they were children. So she can say, I've known him since she was 10 years old, I made her this and that. Okay, so on the same vein, you've noticed that she was 10 years old, you made her this and that, and your position has put her and Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grin and everybody else in the cast and crew in position to have to answer for your views. And if they disagree with you, what are they supposed to say? Is they're supposed to lie?

[00:14:30]Darius: She would, I mean, I'm sure she would say you could just say nothing, which is easier than it looks.

[00:14:36]Jordan: But I will say, like, Daniel Radcliffe has been astonished. Like, he's very much a, like, he's not what the **** ****. Like, when he saw Brady with the MAGA, he was like, take that **** out your locker. Like, that **** ain't, that **** is not okay. Like, he's been very much unapologetically in what it stands and what he believes in. It's funny to me that JK Rowling feels so betrayed by Emma Watson. I get my previous comments, but Emma didn't take a stance in this interview.

[00:14:59]Darius: Yeah, she jumped out the window. It's not like she's been, that's been on her chest for a minute.

[00:15:03]Jordan: That's all it was. That's all it was. You know what that was? It was like, it's like, say like, we're mad at each other. Like, I want to fight you. And you say like, you pick me for being late. And I'm like, let's just go outside. Like, you know what I mean?

[00:15:14]Darius: Like, it's the saying is, it's a stubbed toe that undoes a man. It's like, it was your job, car get repoed. house and foreclosure and you're fine until you stub your toe and it all comes crumbling down.

[00:15:27]Jordan: Exactly. Because it's funny because literally Emma Watson's been getting killed since she did the interview for not being a real ally. That's the funny part. Like people have been saying, like, you know, that's, you know, tails all this time, a white feminist or a white ally, not really being 10 toes down when it comes time to actually stand for something. So I think it's hilarious to me that That was the stance that she chose to just ether Emma on.

[00:15:51]Darius: I really wish we could get it to Coates Ezra here because it just ties it to my point of like, what is the future of a coalition if Emma Watson isn't liberal enough for you? Like where are you going? What is your politics? Yeah, that's right. election forever I don't understand what is this anyway we'll get into it later yeah.

[00:16:12]Jordan: Yeah I mean I will say though like there does come a point where like you gotta certain **** you gotta pick a side bro and like I'm not saying you gotta say **** JK Rowling because you can still love her and it like somebody made the point they were like you know this is what happens when you play nice with biggest I'm not necessarily saying she's well you can call her big because she's transphobic or you know you to be transphobic so when you play by a set of rules that people that people don't play by, you put yourself in a vulnerable position when you refuse to take a side. And this is a case, perfect case study for that.

[00:16:41]Darius: I just feel like the I will get into it. I mean, to even quote Ezra, like we've stopped persuading and we've just started kicking people out. And there's no future in a politics where you keep narrowing the tent. You're just going to lose and look around. What is all like, so let's say the last five years, the trans rights community has gotten more public and more strict and da da da da da. And look around, how's that worked out? It's only their, the coalition's gotten smaller and their rights have gotten worse.

[00:17:16]Jordan: That's true.

[00:17:17]Darius: Like, so is this working? Bottom line, is your strategy not yours? Is their strategy working? I don't think it is.

[00:17:26]Jordan: Yeah, I don't.

[00:17:26]Darius: Well, anybody?

[00:17:28]Jordan: Anybody specified as a minority, our strategy obviously is not working. So.

[00:17:31]Darius: Well, so okay, but like there's a reason why if you go back and listen to same sex marriage advocates, they were very strategic. There's a reason why they wanted the face of the gay community to be Will and Grace and not a bath house. They were very strategic about that. They wanted middle America when they're voting to think of a gay man as Will and Grace. There's a reason why Martin Luther King did, they wore suits and they didn't fight back. And it's because the messaging, it does matter and persuasion does matter. It does. And I just think we're blending topics. But no, look, I don't want to come off like I am some JK Rowley defender, though I do think she ethered her. And I do understand how she would look like, she would feel like, look, we got money together. You could have just said, no, I get it. You grow up, you grow up. You got your own views, but it is true that she could have literally picked any white girl at 14 and played Hermione and everyone would have went and saw those movies.

[00:18:26]Jordan: Yeah, of course I would have went. Yeah.

[00:18:28]Darius: It could have been the worst acting you've ever seen and you would have went. So every Harry Potter movie.

[00:18:33]Jordan: I just think it's ****** **. I just think it's ****** ** to do it to somebody that you that it's you probably viewed as like a niece or a little cousin at some point. You know what I mean?

[00:18:42]Darius: I think I don't think J.K. Rowling is a great person. But I think it's important to note that as far as I can tell, I'm not, if she says some insane **** like we should chop them up at, that's different. But the positions I know her to hold are positions that the overwhelming majority of people hold.

[00:19:05]Jordan: And yeah, it's just, she's just so mean spirit on Twitter, bro. Like, I think that's a lot of it what it is, honestly. It's like, it's one thing if you just say like, this is my belief and that's it. But like, it's like every day. Not literally every day, but you get what I'm saying.

[00:19:16]Darius: No, she's obsessive. But I do think it's telling that even in walking the line and Emma Watson being very diplomatic in that interview and still holding her ground, but being diplomatic and saying, hey, you know, I get it.

[00:19:33]Jordan: Yeah.

[00:19:34]Darius: It still wasn't good enough. Like that's how that's how.

[00:19:41]Jordan: We've lost a plot a little bit.

[00:19:42]Darius: That's how much we've lost a plot and that's how intolerant we have become. Like when again, where is your coalition if Emma Watson isn't liberal enough to be in your tent?

[00:19:54]Jordan: No, you're right. That's true. And I'll say like, I was watching TikTok earlier today, I don't even know what the subject was. It might have been about the Ezra coach ship, but they were just saying like, it's come to the part of the reason why the right has overcome the left is because the left is so obsessed and concerned with civility and like saying things the right way. Like this girl, I remember this now, this girl, she made a point where she was like, people are more upset with you using the word homeless as opposed to unhoused. They're more outraged by the wording than the fact that we have homeless problem in this country.

[00:20:25]Darius: What I mean, like someone said, We've become the nerds. We've become like Democrats used to be cool and Republicans used to be the preachy people who didn't want you to have sex with who you wanted to. It didn't want you to.

[00:20:35]Jordan: They were the pastor from Footloose.

[00:20:37]Darius: Now we're the preachy, annoying, whiny. Naggy party. Like, don't say that. Don't drink that. Don't eat that. Don't drive a car, walk here, ride a bike.

[00:20:49]Jordan: That is true. I did want to say that we, and I'll say some of that for the next topic, but we do need to get our edge back for sure.

[00:20:55]Darius: Yeah.

[00:20:55]Jordan: And that's a, that's a, that's a big problem.

[00:20:57]Darius: Yeah. You know, someone said they went to this political writer, he went to the Bama, Georgia game and he's like, I was walking to college campus and Democrats just aren't cool anymore. All I saw was Republican stuff. Like if you walked on a college campus 10 years ago, you'd have saw nothing but Democratic and Obama and all of that stuff. And we're not cool anymore. We're the scolds. We're the preachy scolds. And no one likes a scold. No one likes a scold.

[00:21:23]Jordan: I don't know when that happened or how that happened.

[00:21:25]Darius: I can tell you, but.

[00:21:28]Jordan: Is it Hillary? Is it Hillary?

[00:21:30]Darius: No, I, well, it's 2016 for sure.

[00:21:34]Jordan: Yeah.

[00:21:34]Darius: Anyways, again, we're blending topics, but we'll get into. Real quick. Virginia beat Florida State on Friday night and we have a whole sports segment, but I just the fans stormed the field and there were no barriers on the field. And I got not going to lie. It looked a little.

[00:21:51]Jordan: It was like 100,000 people.

[00:21:53]Darius: Yeah. And so this might not be the best topic for it, but it just kind of.

[00:21:58]Jordan: That should look like Lion King.

[00:22:01]Darius: I just don't like this culture of safetyism that we're creating where it's like. That's dangerous. Let's not do that. You know, it's just, I don't even know what I want to say on this, but it's just, to me, it just like I woke up like it's okay to just have some fun. That was fun. And no one got hurt. And sure, like you don't want anyone to get hurt. But what is college sports without field storming? We can't legislate all risk out of society. And if we just become a culture of like satanism, we become boring. You know, like They beat FSU at home, a ranked team. They haven't done that in a long time and they stormed the field.

[00:22:37]Jordan: Yeah, everybody always got trampled.

[00:22:39]Darius: It did look, it didn't look great. And this is probably not the best example of it. But, you know, I saw it was, what's his name? Some ESPN commentator was like, I only do fist bumps now. I don't shake hands because I've seen too many people not wash their hands in the restroom. And wow, that is gross.

[00:22:59]Jordan: That is one thing we should have taken. We should keep from COVID.

[00:23:02]Darius: I ran go home. I was astonished to how many people didn't know that they should do that every time. But one, a fist bump is not sanitary. That's just safety theater. Like you're still touching their hand.

[00:23:13]Jordan: Did you think that their hand wasn't in the bathroom with them? That's Howie Mandel's fault. That's what that comes from.

[00:23:18]Darius: That's so stupid. Did you think that this part of their hand wasn't in the bathroom?

[00:23:24]Jordan: Like this part of their hand didn't go in their pants.

[00:23:26]Darius: Yeah, it's just so ******* stupid. Two. I get, I don't like germs as much as the next person, but you can't legislate all of the risk out of life and just shake hands. Just wash your own hands. If you shake up with people, be pleasant, don't be antisocial, wash your own hands, you'll be fine. It's fine. I get you.

[00:23:46]Jordan: But if I may, if I may offer the ladies out there a little bit of advice, a lot of times that guy you're crying over is the guy who doesn't wash his hands when he goes to the urinal. I know because I've seen it in the urinal. So I just want to let y'all know that.

[00:23:58]Darius: I am every single single day, because I'm back in the office now. Every single day, I see someone leave the urinal, walk straight out that *****. I don't hear no water in the dryer.

[00:24:07]Jordan: Nothing. Like, it's crazy.

[00:24:09]Darius: Not even the smoke get running water on your hand, just the, no, just gone.

[00:24:13]Jordan: Just going back smelling like ****. It's crazy.

[00:24:17]Darius: Are you going to go back to your desk and eat like?

[00:24:19]Jordan: And you're typing on the keyboard and **** like you're all touching doorknobs. Yeah.

[00:24:23]Darius: Were you raised by horse? I've never.

[00:24:25]Jordan: You know what? I might go back to Air Fives. This is actually insane now that I think about it.

[00:24:29]Darius: But this is my favorite thing if you like do the fist bump instead because you don't wash your hands. It's like again, I don't understand the logic behind that.

[00:24:37]Jordan: Right.

[00:24:38]Darius: Did you spend that Jeezy album?

[00:24:40]Jordan: Yeah, I did. Listen, I love Jeezy. He's a legend. He's one of the best to ever do it from Atlanta. But my God, that album sucked. Bro, I was so happy to get to the end of that album. I literally, it felt like, you know the SpongeBob meme where he's like breathing hard and he's leaned up against the tree? That was me after finishing that album, bro. I did not like that **** at all. You might have saw my tweet. I was like, what's with these, the pimp a butterfly *** beats?

[00:25:04]Darius: Okay, so it was experimental. And I'm always going to, I always want to encourage experimentation because I think far too many times rappers just release the same album over and over again. Did it land all the way? No. I did think it was a 35 plus album. I didn't hate it. It's too long. It's an hour plus. That's too long.

[00:25:28]Jordan: That was a problem.

[00:25:30]Darius: The over-reliance on solo samples felt a little pandering.

[00:25:35]Jordan: Yeah.

[00:25:35]Darius: Like it was just like there was two or three Teddy Pendergrass samples and it's like, all right, you pandering now?

[00:25:40]Jordan: And they weren't good samples. It was like, it was like a producer did like a really ****** Kanye impression or something. Like it just, I just wasn't fan of the beats. Like the rapping was okay. It was cool. I wasn't crazy, but I felt like his flow was kind of monotone throughout the whole album. And the AB rhyme scheme, I got a little sick of that too. But yeah.

[00:25:59]Darius: The samples were just like, I'm just gonna take the chorus and you're just gonna rap. That's it.

[00:26:03]Jordan: That's just the whole, right. That was the whole thing. That was the whole thing. There were like four or five good songs on there that were cool.

[00:26:10]Darius: On a 10 rating, I gave it a six. It was fine.

[00:26:13]Jordan: It wasn't Carter Six. It wasn't that bad.

[00:26:16]Darius: No, It was just unlistenable.

[00:26:18]Jordan: It was too long to be that unenjoyable. And I think that's why I hated it so much. Like if it was 40 minutes, I'd have been like, all right, cool. This isn't bad. But that was a long ******* album.

[00:26:27]Darius: It was age appropriate rap in the sense that he wasn't trying to make the same albums he made when he was 22. So, you know, I like that. I like that he's trying new things. Aging in rap is hard.

[00:26:42]Jordan: It is.

[00:26:43]Darius: Did that one land all the way? No.

[00:26:46]Jordan: I ****** with his last album though. His last album was really good.

[00:26:49]Darius: I did too. But that kind of felt like him trying to be 23 again. And so.

[00:26:54]Jordan: Fair.

[00:26:56]Darius: I liked it. Am I in a rush?

[00:26:59]Jordan: Did you find to be inauthentic?

[00:27:02]Darius: But it did. It was. He was clearly out of his own zone.

[00:27:05]Jordan: Like it wasn't even the, for me wasn't even the samples that I didn't believe or the beat choice. I just didn't believe what he was saying. Honestly, it just, it felt like this is what I'm, it felt like, it felt like if he was trying to do like a, like an impression of like 444 or something like that.

[00:27:21]Darius: It's like, it's like he went and like picked up pickleball. It's like, you don't like that ****. Yeah. You feel like that's what you should do at your age.

[00:27:29]Jordan: Right. Yeah. It's like when you, I remember during the pandemic, I tried to get into wine because I was bored and I was like, **** it.

[00:27:38]Darius: I actually don't like this ****.

[00:27:39]Jordan: I was like, oh, this Sauvignon tastes like grapes.

[00:27:43]Darius: I like a good Pinot Noir. The problem is the spots we go to just don't have good wines. So it's like, I'm not.

[00:27:49]Jordan: I'm more of a sweet wine kind of guy or a dessert wine kind of guy myself. I'm not crazy about the reds. I'm not going to hold you. Maybe my palate's not developed enough, but yeah.

[00:27:58]Darius: I don't like sweet things, so. Pinot noir, a sauvignon blanc. No, it's so that's sauvre cavillon.

[00:28:05]Jordan: Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon.

[00:28:07]Darius: Some. Yeah, it is. I will. I know why it's so like you're going to go restaurant bottle line. You're on a date. You go to a girl's house.

[00:28:19]Jordan: Yeah. Yeah.

[00:28:19]Darius: Yeah. Like women ain't really trying to drink beer and.

[00:28:22]Jordan: Right. They do. They're not.

[00:28:24]Darius: And you know, if she drinking wine and I'm at her crib, I'm drinking wine.

[00:28:30]Jordan: But I feel you. I drink all the wine you want.

[00:28:33]Darius: You know, if you like it, I love it. Yeah, if you like it, I love it. Real quick, Dave Chappelle, Andrew Schultz.

[00:28:45]Jordan: Oh God.

[00:28:46]Darius: Aziz, every big name comedian you can name is, I guess, doing the show in Saudi Arabia. And all I wanted to say is, I just want to use this as a launching point to, I'm sure they got a crazy bag for it. Saudi Arabia store off crazy oil money.

[00:29:02]Jordan: You get like a million a shell over there.

[00:29:04]Darius: Yeah, that's fine. Look, I am not opposed to people getting the bag. What I'm opposed to is the idea that any decision you make is fine as long as you got a bag. And it's like, get the bag culture. Right. Where it's like, well, they went over to Saudi Arabia and they performed for people who like literally make women, they literally have women slaves. And, it's a theocracy where there are no rights, but they got the bag. And it's like, you can't.

[00:29:34]Jordan: Walk and chew gum there. Literally, like it's against a lot of like chew gum and **** or whatever.

[00:29:38]Darius: Like also apparently a guideline, a list of rules got leaked. Like one of the comedians leaked it and they can't like joke on the Saudi kingdom. And apparently that makes sense. These are the people who We're mad at Democrats because they couldn't say ****** anymore. But now they over there tap dancing with the whole list of things they can't say. I thought co
