Jordan: Hey, everybody. Welcome to the Out the Trunk Pod with Jordan and Darius. It's our movie review segment. My name is Jordan. You can find me on all socials at Jordy B Writing.
Darius: And I'm Darius. That's these. I love the area on all socials.
Jordan: And today we're going to be reviewing the cult classic of the year, Obsession. This movie came out in May of 2026, starring Michael Johnston, Indy Navaretti, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter from the Conan Show. This movie is about a guy named Bear, a shy and insecure music store employee who secretly longs for his co-worker and childhood friend Nikki. After an awkward encounter makes him feel like he's lost his chance forever, Bear snaps a supernatural one-wish Willow novelty charm, wishing Nikki to love him more than anyone else on Earth. The wish works, but her affection rapidly spirals into an unhinged, violent, and codependent nightmare that turns his dream romance into a fight for survival. That's Steve Fracklin.
Darius: Act one, the One Wish Willow. Bear returns home to a grieving loss, and during a trip to a local crystal shop, he stumbles across a novelty trinket called One Wish Willow. Following a botch attempt to tell Nikki how he feels, a desperate bear snaps the branch in two and wishes for her total devotion. First observation off the rip, we have already discussed the issues regarding payment with the cast in a previous episode, what's on our mind, June 9th. you can go back and listen to our thoughts on that. So we're not ignoring that. We've just already discussed it and we're going to keep it, you know, to the movie in this one. So, you know, we'll put the link in the notes and you guys can listen to what we have to say about that. But First observation, I've done this before, beating a dead horse here. Bunch of part-time record employees had really nice houses. How are they affording these, like Bear lived by himself and he worked part-time as a retail employee. I don't even like he was never at work, but a handful of times in the show.
Jordan: And there was never any customers in the shop.
Darius: No, it's like he could not have made more than like 11 bucks an hour.
Jordan: Right.
Darius: And, you know, not bad. You can afford a two-bedroom home, standalone single family dwelling.
Jordan: Yeah. In 2026.
Darius: Shout out to him. So what you have?
Jordan: Yeah, congrats to him. My first note for act one is Indy Neveredy's performance in this movie is otherworldly. I'll go into it more later. But everything she does in this movie with her face and her emotions is why actors should never, ever, ever get plastic surgery. Because if they had, they would not be able to, certain actors who will remain nameless would not be able to do this performance because they can't move their face from here down.
Darius: It's funny you say you shall remain nameless and that's like half of Hollywood. I don't know. It'd be easier to name the ones who haven't had plastic surgery.
Jordan: That's true.
Darius: But, you know, we don't shame, but, you know, I got you. What else you got?
Jordan: So the opening scene where he's doing the practice, asking her out or whatever thing with the server and his friend, it's kind of interesting because it Like the lines themselves are very like romantic. And like, if you were put them in the poem, like, wow, this is a great poem or something like that. You know what I mean? But because you know it's about a girl he doesn't know if she's into, it just comes across a totally different way. Also because he's practicing it, that makes it, that cheapens the sentiment.
Darius: I'm shooting my shot this tonight. Let me, you know, get some reps up in the mirror before I do this. I ain't too cool to admit I have done that.
Jordan: Oh no, hell yeah, for sure. Sure. I visualized before I go on dates and **** like that. Absolutely. So I'm not going to run a lot.
Darius: I'm a bit more seasoned now, so I can a bit lighter on my feet, but I've definitely, you know, rehearsed some lines before. I mean, Barrett isn't, I don't think he's 22 years old in this movie.
Jordan: Yeah, 22, 23, something like that.
Darius: Yeah. So, you know, we're all a little weak at that point. So.
Jordan: Oh, for sure. But it was funny to me because where his friend is like, dude, you're doing too much. He's not into this kind of **** whatever, you know, she's more like the chill approach, I guess. And it made me think of this. There's this episode of How Much Your Mother where it's called a like a Doppler Dahmer theory, meaning where if like you like the person they love and it's considered romantic, I say anything where he's outside with the boombox, right? Where if you compare it to like if they don't like you, it's more like some Dahmer **** where it's like creepy and stalkeration and a super red flag.
Darius: Yeah, it goes both ways.
Jordan: Yeah.
Darius: You know, there's there's, we all have like, there's a woman in your phone, she texts you and you're like, right. And the woman you jump when they text. So like I kind of, right. It's the old flirting versus sexual harassment meme.
Jordan: Yes, the meme. Or the, what is it? The Rick Ross where it's like his shirt off. It's like, get a job, fat. And then it's like Lizzo and it's like, body positivity.
Darius: Yeah. so it kind of it goes both ways for sure.
Jordan: Yeah, for sure.
Darius: I had it. So to me, the movie really doesn't the ball doesn't start rolling for like 45 minutes. And so I think I clocked it at like 40 minutes where I'm like, that's so interesting. I wasn't it my own part, especially on first review, because I didn't even catch him snapping the willow tree on the first review. I was like, I had to rewind it. Because I didn't see it in the theater. The first time I saw it was when it hit like a premium new movie on Amazon.
Jordan: Gotcha.
Darius: And and so I was like, I was on my phone a little bit. Did I miss it? And I had to go back. It's real subtle because he's in the car and she's walking up to the house. Yeah. And he's just frustrated and he's just like, I wish Nikki would love me forever and more than anyone in the world.
Jordan: More than anything in the world.
Darius: Yeah. And he just snaps it and. I missed it on the first run. So like that whole 40 first 40 minutes until they're in that restaurant and she goes.
Jordan: No, We're having a nice date.
Darius: That was when I was like, when did the movie start? Oh, okay. Let me go back and see. You know, so yeah, it started a little slow for me, probably because I wasn't paying close enough attention.
Jordan: So that's so interesting. So for me, it was kind of similar. I thought that for me, when I first watched it, I was like, this movie is 15 minutes to 20 minutes too long. And then on the rewatch, I'm like, it actually could have been a little longer. Not that I needed that, but just like the pacing actually is way better the second time around. For me, I picked up a lot the second on the rewatch because I'll just go and say it now, but like the he learns in act three that his friend and Nikki has been hooking up on the low this whole time. And so I was like, okay, well now I gotta go back and rewatch everything with him and her with Bear and Nikki and then with Nikki and I'm sorry, with Ian and Bear to kind of see the dynamic between the two friends to kind of figure out what his intentions were with him. So I went back and watched it and his friend was kind of on some ********. Like, it's not the whole movie. Like, he's like, you know, be mean to her. Call her freaky Nikki when he knows she doesn't like that. You know what I'm saying? It's like, that's kind of like sabotaging your man. You know what I mean?
Darius: So, okay, you have to keep in mind, he found this out through a girl who had a crush on him and I forget her name.
Jordan: Sarah.
Darius: Sarah. So it's like how I believe that Ian and Nikki were hooking up for sure. But like she was like, it was off and on. It was a two year thing. It was nothing serious. To me that just reads and it's probably maybe me reading my own situations into this. Like we ain't really hooking up. It's just sometimes we're drunk in the same vicinity. And it's like, It's not a what are you doing tonight?
Jordan: It's more of like a over here type thing.
Darius: Yeah, proximity thing. And so I don't, I mean, it would have been nice to tell, especially given how passionate Bear was about.
Jordan: That's my main thing.
Darius: Yeah, I'm with you. Actually, I retract all that. Ian is crazy.
Jordan: Cause like you knew he was in love with her.
Darius: Yeah.
Jordan: And like, if y'all are keeping your **** low, that's cool. But to try to like play a hand in him pursuing her is kind of nuts.
Darius: And then giving him bad advice at that.
Jordan: Yeah, that's really my thing. It's like giving him bad advice. And then like, I went back and watched it. When I watched it again, where he says, Bear goes, Bear was like, don't do it at trivia night. Do it when you're hanging out with her solo. But he said, well, whenever I ask her to hang out solo, she always invites you. And it's like, okay, well, so that, that was like the first hint. And like, okay, it might have been a little more serious than I think he let Sarah on to know about them too, you know?
Darius: I mean, and then I'll. Yeah, no, maybe, maybe even. I mean, these are young people too, man.
Jordan: I mean, that's, that's true too. Yeah.
Darius: And I could see myself in Ian's situation not, you know, it's like, That's crazy. She keeps inviting me. Ha ha. I could see myself doing that. Now, would I encourage him to make a fool of himself? No, but I can see how Ian handled it to a certain extent.
Jordan: Yeah. And then speaking to that point, like, When you go back and watch it, it's like she really did tell him like 8 different ways and she was not interested. Like he, so they're at the bar at trivia night, he orders a pina colada. First of all, that's step one. What the **** are you thinking ordering that in front of a girl you like? I mean, you can put it in there, I guess. Put some rum in there. But yeah, you have to do that.
Darius: If you have to ask for the alcohol, it's not a drink.
Jordan: Yeah. If you go up and ask for a Shirley Temple, they ask you if you want a virgin or not in front of Coca-Cola, too.
Darius: And they won't put the jack in there unless I say with a jack.
Jordan: Right. Yeah, I'll get a rum and coke.
Darius: Hold the rum in a while. I want some jack. Yeah, me neither.
Jordan: Yeah. Yeah, that was misstep number one. What were you what were you thinking? And then, you know, he was like, Oh, she's always so nice to me. But like, she gave the money to a homeless guy. Like, she's clearly just a nice person.
Darius: Yeah.
Jordan: You know, what else was it? Here's my thing where Ian was a ****** friend, where he gives her a ride home, but before they leave the bar, he's like, Make sure you get your girl home safe. And then that says Nikki up to go ill. that was really ****** **.
Darius: That was a player. That was that was foul. Like that was foul. She didn't belong to nobody and y'all was ******* and that's totally fine. I'm not, I'm not, you know, I'm not one of those people that, you know, just because you liked her doesn't mean she's off limits. But at the same time, you don't, you don't have to rub it in. You don't have to, you know.
Jordan: Just put him in position to look stupid.
Darius: Yeah, you just, if you know what it is, and that's your man's, just steer him in a different direction. Don't really, don't encourage him to make a fool of himself. Just be like, that's what I didn't get. You know, I would have maybe been like, hey, listen, I can only say but so much, but that one, that one ain't the one, you know, there's 30 other women in here.
Jordan: Right.
Darius: Maybe focus on one of those?
Jordan: There's a pretty girl also in that friend group who is in love with you. Like, I would have just been like, hey, you know, she likes you, right?
Darius: I don't want the Nikki if we keep it in.
Jordan: Thank you. I mean, or as bad at least.
Darius: You know, it's, I don't, you know, both of them were decent.
Jordan: They're both very attractive. Yes, very attractive women. Yeah, that's what I thought was crazy. And then even when she was driving her home and she was like, oh, I like that I can talk to you about this kind of stuff. You know, I don't really get talk like this with anybody else. And then she said, you're not a complete brick wall. For me, I took that to mean she views Ian as a brick wall, meaning she wanted more with him, something more serious with him than he wanted with her.
Darius: I mean, listen, it feels counterintuitive, but hearing a woman tell you, you know, I can only talk about this stuff with you. And it's not, it's probably not.
Jordan: That means you're her best friend. That means you're her best friend. You are her, she views you as a human puppy.
Darius: Yeah, like that means, put another way, she doesn't feel like she has to put on a good foot forward for you.
Jordan: Yes.
Darius: You know, she's able to be, you know, a mess in front of you. It's probably not, because she doesn't see you romantically. Correct.
Jordan: Yeah.
Darius: It's and then the guy she is always, putting her best foot forward for is a dude she's sleeping with. So, Correct. Stated preferences versus revealed preferences. You got anything else for Ag1?
Jordan: What else, what else? Oh yeah, even like where she's like, oh, do you like Sarah? Sarah wouldn't stop asking about you. Like.
Darius: Another giant sign. Women do not like to share. No. If she's into you at all, it don't even, she could have a man. If she's into you at all, she's not gonna put her home girls on. That's not a thing.
Jordan: No. Yeah. That's annoying. I hate when they do that, but whatever.
Darius: That is so not a thing. Women do not put their homegirls on. They will hoard every decent man in the vicinity before they put their homegirl on if she actually likes you. If she's willing to put you on, it's because she's not into you at all.
Jordan: Yeah, no, that's actually true. I had to learn it the hard way. I was very young when I learned that lesson and I was like, oh, That's why this friend group is weird.
Darius: You know, and we're going to get to that later. That's why I extend bear a lot of grace because he's very young. These are. Yeah, I do not think these people are 25 years old.
Jordan: No, not at all.
Darius: Did they buy alcohol ever in this movie? Yeah.
Jordan: That's the only reason I think they're over 21 because remember, they have the bar ordered shots.
Darius: Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Jordan: So I think they're 2223.
Darius: I was thinking these are just like. But if that scene wasn't in there, I would have thought these kids were like, after high school, working a little part-time job, just kind of floating around. Yeah, same. But yeah, you're right, they're old. But they're not over 23. You know, they're not that old. So I actually, people are hard on bear on the internet. I guess we'll get to that, though. But I will say the theme of the movie. Be careful what you wish for.
Jordan: Oh, yes, for sure.
Darius: 100%. He got exactly what he wanted.
Jordan: And, you know, that's another thing, too. It's like the he made literally the worst wish possible. He could have just said, like, I wish he liked me. I wish you would **** me. I wish we could be friends with because I wish we could date for a little bit or something like he made it the most extreme wish possible.
Darius: That's why Despite them not dating or aging the characters in a movie, you could tell he's young. Because that's a child. Like, I wish he loved me more than anything in the world. Right.
Jordan: And he just said it. He just said it so flippantly.
Darius: You know, it's like in the whole wide world, you know, it's just like, he sounds like he's young, you know?
Jordan: He sounds like a kid. Yeah, even like I like the irony of that because like in any movie involving magic or wishes or genies or fantasy or anything, in Game of Thrones for the most part, aside from Jon Snow, And that one dude who died eight times, it's you can't make anyone fall in love with you and you can't bring back anyone from the dead. Like those are the two biggest universal rules of magic. So I love that he just blatantly broke that offer. One wish.
Darius: Yeah. Yeah. You know, it's a reoccurring theme. We discussed this before, man. If you you shouldn't trying to convince someone to love you is is for movies. It's not a real thing in real life.
Jordan: It's not. It's the worst thing you could ever do to yourself.
Darius: Never stop feeling like an audition. You will always feel like you're like the next day you got to audition all over again. Yeah.
Jordan: Yes. I literally had this conversation with somebody the other night. I told him that, you know, we talked had this conversation. We were talking about like, we were talking, I think Twilight, whatever, like Edward versus Jacob. And it's like, well, one was one had the role and one was auditioning the entire time, you know, and.
Darius: You just you owe yourself more a more fulfilling relationship than one you feel like you're always.
Jordan: Just holding on to the rope.
Darius: It just like barely, just like I made it through the day and tomorrow I go play tug of war with this thing again. It's like, no, man, you want it's not supposed to be easy, but it ain't supposed to be tug of war every day either. So.
Jordan: No, you never want to overextend yourself for sure. This movie does do a great job of like showcasing attachment styles. You know, I go to a little bit later kind of his But yeah, it's like, you know, you also just don't want to be like once you, you know when someone likes you for the most part, like, you know, people think they're subtle, but they're really not. Like she said, Sarah's very obvious, you know? And then, you know what Nikki was like, when I like somebody, you'll never know. But the truth is, looking back on it, it actually was obvious that she was into Ian the whole time.
Darius: There was a tweet I saw the other day. It was a, an older gentleman, and he was like, when a woman likes you, she'll help you, know, even if you don't have, even if you ate the smoothies or you didn't do this right, she'll help you, know, like, okay, let's bring this back here, you know, like, so.
Jordan: That's very true.
Darius: Because you don't get an instruction manual, but she'll get, you know, if she likes you, she'll, okay, she'll give you that. She'll give you that paragraph. That's what we're looking for. And so you add anything else for act one.
Jordan: No, that's all I had for act one.
Darius: All right, we're going to head into act two. Love turned unhinged understatement of the year. Overnight, Nikki transformed from a casual, friendly coworker into an intensely affectionate, attentive partner. It doesn't take long for Nikki's affection to curdle into suffocating, terrifying possession. She begins gaslighting bear, isolating him from a circle, duct taping doors to keep him from leaving. Yada, yada, yada, yada, yada. It gets, it goes on and on for there. Let me just say, we said this in the Odyssey. It's so important for movies, even serious movies to have moments of levity. Yeah. When she stands up and says, And I know one thing, I love Bear more than anything in the world. And the scene where the people at the party are looking and that black dude is looking like, I'm the only black guy here. There's a crying white woman. Let me get my pass.
Jordan: Get the **** out of here.
Darius: As a PSA to all the fellas out there, if you were at a function.
Jordan: And a drunk white girl start crying. Get the **** out.
Darius: It is time. Your night is over.
Jordan: Yeah, your night is over, young man. Please. Have you heard that quote? White tears equals 50 years.
Darius: The way they pants to the six people who are strangers and they're just looking like, they're looking like anyone would look like, what is it?
Jordan: What the **** is happening here? No, my favorite is the white girl sitting on the back of the couch and she's just like.
Darius: Because they're not privy. This is just like any of this.
Jordan: They just met these people, I'm assuming.
Darius: Imagine being at a function and just like, look, obviously that's awkward. Her boyfriend is like pulls a card to kiss. I thought everything there was normal. Like, no, you're not going to kiss this girl in front of me. That's for sure. You know, like that was valid there didn't immediately laugh it off like throw the card away or whatever. He was fouled for that. And I heard the chair back was a little much, but with the reason. And then she just went way left with the bottle.
Jordan: Like oh oh oh ****.
Darius: So backtrack a little bit when did it get weird for you?
Jordan: The obsession I'm trying to think I mean right away to be honest like where it was like because like what I love about this movie is she wasn't like under a spell and then the ending happened and then she broke out of it. She was trying to fight her way out of the spell, the whole movie, which I thought made it really interesting because she was still in there the whole time. I have a note here.
Darius: I love that they kept a little of her in there.
Jordan: Yeah, me too. Like where she would switch off and be like, oh my, like when they kissed and she like was like, oh **** what the **** am I doing here? Like, you know what I mean?
Darius: Or Interesting theory about that in the next act.
Jordan: Yes. Crazy ******* theory. I think it's right though.
Darius: I saw that clip before my third watch for the pod and I was like, it all lines up.
Jordan: Yeah, I got to go back and watch it again. Yes, I love that. Even like after she freaked out with the bottle, she like breaking the bottle again. That was her trying to break out of the shell, you know, trying to break out of that.
Darius: Reflection in that bottle.
Jordan: I think so. I think so. Which makes a lot of sense.
Darius: It got weird to meet the duct tape door. That was when I was like, That **** was crazy. That was the first time I watched it. I was sitting on my couch and I'm like, okay, she's a little obsessive, but when does this And he liked the camera. It's great cinematography. The camera like turns and he looks at it and he looks crazy and like, what the **** is he? And he's ******* like, where does he find them? Did he have so much duct tape?
Jordan: That's like 200 feet of duct tape. It's like a football field out there.
Darius: Oh, that was when I was like, okay, we it's officially where The movie requires.
Jordan: She was off the rails.
Darius: Yeah. Like, why isn't no one like calling the police? But that was when I was like the duct tape. So yours was earlier than that?
Jordan: Yeah, I knew she was going to go left pretty early. And then also for me, it was when, she, he opened the door with the duct tape and she was standing there. I was like, she's going to be standing in that same spot when he comes back home. and then when she started peeing I was like she's gonna stand there all day she's gonna be playing like a tree and he came back and she was covered in like vomit and bile and.
Darius: She did not empty her faculties all day.
Jordan: No not at all.
Darius: And the first watch I was like did she really **** herself and then I like yeah then the camera pans and like make sure you know and she did not move from that spot all day no dude she cooked his cat That **** was crazy. Built a shrine for the cat first. What else did she do? We already covered the scene at the restaurant where she just like.
Jordan: **** the **** out.
Darius: Have you ever had a **** out like that in public?
Jordan: I actually did.
Darius: Like a woman **** out like you like that?
Jordan: Yeah.
Darius: On you like that in public. Yeah.
Jordan: Not to that quite to that degree. We were in a restaurant. she was really loud, like she, I don't know if she just couldn't hear herself, but she just was always really loud, and we're talking about love is. blind and it was the first season and there was a character on the show where he was the character the guy was bisexual and he was waiting to tell the person but he waited until after they met and after he proposed you know and so I was like to me sometimes you can't always tell but on this guy you could tell and so I was like you know I mean, I don't know why she was surprised, because I mean it was pretty clear. And she's like, what do you mean? I'm like, come on dude. Like she's like, what do you mean? I'm like, it was pretty obvious. She's like, well, how so? And I'm like, we're like, come on, it was like 2020 at the time. Like, come on dude, let's not be obtuse here. And then she's like, That's so like, that's so rude. And she's like screaming. She's like, that's biphobic and whatever. And I'm like, we're in a Chinese restaurant. And then people start like looking and ****. And I'm just like, okay, like you're nuts. And so that happens. Then we finished the night.
Darius: You went out with one of them, the peak wokes. You said it was a 2020? That was their peak woke.
Jordan: Yeah, like 2018, 2019, something like that. Yeah. And then we're in the parking lot. We're talking about it. I'm like, you misunderstood. Like, that's not me at all. Whatever. And then she was like, do you find embarrassing? I was like, you were screaming in a ******* restaurant, of course, whatever. And then I was like, I just had a moment where you're like, you ever have a moment where you're just like, wait, what the **** am I doing? So then I was like, you know what? This is our third date. You did not get me a gift. We're going to bring this to the litmus test now. I want gifts.
Darius: Ain't got me nothing expensive, but I definitely want what she said. It was a token of appreciation to share.
Jordan: A token of appreciation. You know, it's more what's under my segment, guys. And I literally I was just like, you know, it's our third date. We should not be arguing at this point. Clearly, this doesn't work. And I just called it right then there in the parking lot.
Darius: I didn't get screamed at, but I definitely.
Jordan: Yeah.
Darius: What is she? told me like I was like part of the evils of capitalism or something. And it was just one of those.
Jordan: Oh yeah, I remember you told me this story.
Darius: And I can't get it too many specifics because it's work stuff. But she just was just like, how do you look yourself in the mirror? How do you sleep at night? And I may have sat on a bed of money. I think it's a madman line. Don Draper told one of his hipster girlfriends that joke. And and that was the last time I saw that one. She she that's funny. I was an evil capitalist and so on and so forth.
Jordan: So I remember I have a story similar to that. I was back when remember when like on like the dating apps you could put like songs listening to profile or whatever. So this girl had that song with Meg the Stallion and DaBaby before all the shooting and cancellation and all that stuff. And so I quoted his opening verse from that line, being funny. And the line was, you know why these ******* love me, question mark. And so she's like, probably because you're disrespectful. And I was like, that's from the line of the song that you posted in your own ******* bio, you idiot.
Darius: You say *******.
Jordan: Yes. That's the line.
Darius: Because baby don't give a ****. Rappers are funny, though. We say. I'll be rolling the weed. What do you say? You know why these ******* love me? Because baby don't give a ****. I'll be fixing their wee watch you ***** ****. It was just like logistically.
Jordan: Yeah, it was something. Yeah. And then he's like, I hear from the back because she nasty. That's how she give it up. Some **** like that. Yeah.
Darius: Oh, yeah. You know, I would not lead with with with ******* as an opening line. It's tough, tough sell.
Jordan: But I mean, she got it once I explained it. She was like, Oh, my bad. I'm sorry.
Darius: She has a good sport about it. Yeah. You know, I would scrap that one. It's a strategy. Throw that play away. That was dead on arrival. Why didn't Bear go to the police?
Jordan: Because he'd have to explain what he did to her.
Darius: Yes, that's why he didn't go to police because what he did was coercive.
Jordan: Yeah, coercive for sure.
Darius: You know, he was not a great guy as far as what he did. He snapped the willow in a moment of extreme frustration.
Jordan: Correct. And he didn't know it was real.
Darius: He didn't know what he was asking for, but he was.
Jordan: He proceeded to essentially roofie her.
Darius: I forgot they were *******. Yeah, you're right. It's. Yeah, he. So still, though, like I say, he didn't do it because not because of his own self-preservation. I think he didn't go to police because he actually liked it.
Jordan: Yeah, he did. At first he did like it.
Darius: Until she killed the old girl. Spoiler alert. I don't think he had. He enjoyed it. Yeah. When you're hiding bodies in a trunk, it's gone way left. But I think up until that point. It's probably his first girlfriend. He's never had any attention. Right. And yeah, I think I think a part of him enjoyed it.
Jordan: So I think so, too. And I honestly wonder, I don't think he knew that Ian and Nikki were hooking up, but I do get the sense he probably liked getting the one up on his friend. Yeah, like he didn't know that they were in competition for her, but I think He liked the idea of being like, you told me I couldn't get her basically. And I did.
Darius: Yeah, I think the part that makes you suspend belief is that like she smacked her face with a glass at the party and no one was like.
Jordan: Police.
Darius: You know, it wasn't that no one did anything in the moment because I could definitely see myself being so shocked. Just being shocked. Especially with like some hysterical white woman I've never met. that much blood and everything. But the fact that the next day everyone's just like, hey, you playing checkers tonight? Like there was no conversation about how weird that was. a bit like, all right. But no, I mean, Bear was certainly at best manipulative. And like you said, could be liable for some criminal conduct. You know, I don't believe he meant it to that extent but at the end of the right so you buy a trinket at a store and who thinks it's gonna work like you know like this is like oh it's like you wish upon a star and then it works and then from that point on he definitely uh was running foul but I don'
